Xandres or Xander

Help!

My husband and I are torn between two names for our little boy, who is due in late November.
I'd love to hear your thoughts on Xandres. My husband is from El Salvador, so there's a bit of Spanish influence. I also want a name that's not very common.
My husband prefers Xander because he finds it shorter and stronger.

What do you all think?

Is there really no one who has an opinion?

    Short and sweet

I think Xandres is quite original and special. But Xander is indeed short and punchier.

You're asking if no one has an opinion. ;- Honestly, I find it hard to choose..
I don't have a direct preference/opinion for these two names either (and I completely understand your hesitation)...
I find Xander a bit smoother/more pleasant to say,
Xandres seems a bit more unique to me...
But I think both are beautiful!!!!

Xandres definitely fits with Pieter and has more character!!! Beautiful name! Olé!

Xander is more common in the Netherlands. With Xandres, he'll have to spell his name his whole life, although Xandres does sound nice.

My son is named Xander. I think it's a really beautiful name. No regrets at all. There's only one Xander at his school. I like Xandres too, but I'm afraid he'll always have to spell it. Good luck!
