Ladies, what do you think about not using any contraception but avoiding intercourse during your fertile days so you don't get pregnant?

Ladies, I had a question: what do you think about using nothing but just abstaining from sex on fertile days, you know? I don't use the pill or anything else to prevent pregnancy, but I avoid the fertile period by not having sex on those days. So far, it's going really well. But our OP and also my sister think I'm crazy. According to them, this can't work long-term like this, and I should use something. I'd really like to ask for your advice: what do you think about this? Greetings, Madelene

And actually, my question to you is: are there any ladies who also do it this way and where it works out well? Or is it really unwise to do it like this? I'd rather not take the pill. Greetings, Madelene

    Hi Madelene...

I did it the same way for the past 4 years...
And for me, the rule also applies: sing them out of the church... It worked great for me too!!! So yes, girl, the only thing I can say is..... Do what feels right for you...

I'm now between 8 and 9 weeks pregnant... And it was planned consciously... So of course, don't be startled if you turn out to be pregnant anyway;-)

I used medication for years back then... Including the pill... I was so done with it... And wanted to know how my body would react without all that junk....

With the result being an irregular cycle, but well, AS LONG AS that's all there is

Wishing you lots of success and fun, greetings Ilona

Thank you, Ilona, for your message.
It's nice to know that there are more women who do it this way.
I already have two little girls, and they're still young. I'd love to have a third one someday, if it's meant to be, but only when my two daughters are a bit older.
I'm afraid that if I start taking the pill, my menstrual cycle might change afterward, making it harder to conceive a third child later on.
Right now, my cycle is very regular, so I'd like to keep it that way, which is why I haven't started yet.

    Hi Madelene,
My first thought is that you'd be totally fine if you got pregnant now.
Your ovulation can sometimes happen earlier or later, and sperm can survive for a few days. So if you're willing to take the risk, keep going like this, otherwise I'd suggest using something else.
For example, I always play it safe because my cycle only started again 6 weeks after giving birth.
You've been doing it this way for two years now, right? Just do what feels right for you.

    I'll join the ladies above.
If a new baby is welcome, it's great to continue; if not, I think it's a big risk.

    Greetings
