Hi everyone,

Last week at 9am I was able to contact my GP with the result of my blood test. It was positive and I had an hCG of 65.
He told me to make an appointment with the gynecologist but immediately added: but better test again before you make that appointment.
I am a bit worried, I understand that it can still go wrong and stuff, but is the chance that big then?
I have my first appointment on August 5th and called my doctor again. I did my test as he said (it was clearly positive), but now he said I definitely had to get my blood drawn again before going to the gynecologist.
So now I'm worried again that it might not continue...

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy!!! I wouldn't worry so much if I were you! HCG levels are different for every woman. http://mens-en-gezondheid.infonu.nl/zwangerschap/106176-hcg-waarden-tabel.html If you're unsure, just take a look at this table and you'll see that your levels are perfectly fine—nothing too high, nothing to worry about, I think. Of course, every pregnancy can end in a miscarriage. That's very sad; I've had to go through two myself. I'd just get the blood test done by your doctor. It might also be better for your peace of mind to find out if your levels have already risen enormously Do you have any other symptoms? It's strange that your GP is causing so much doubt... It's good that he's honest with you, but I find this a bit blunt and unnecessary.

    Love, Chantal

    hey chatnieeee

    thank you so much
I've been having issues with my nipples being sensitive and sometimes sharp pains in my chest. The nausea also comes and goes. Today is the first day where the nausea is really manageable.

The GP who said that isn't my regular doctor, but it's a group practice, so if one is off, the other covers. I called this morning, but my regular doctor wasn't there again, so I got the other one on the line. I asked him if I should get a blood test before seeing the gynecologist (on August 5th). He said yes, definitely! Now we're leaving on holiday on July 21st and coming back on August 4th. So I'll go get my blood drawn on the evening of the 4th.

I'll try to enjoy my pregnancy and the vacation. After my trip, we'll see. My test on Tuesday was immediate and very clearly positive.

Okay, so we'll get it tested after all. But first, enjoy a nice vacation! I'm curious what your hCG level will be in August

So I had my first ultrasound today
    I'm 7 weeks and 6 days pregnant
I heard the little heart It feels kind of weird like that... and I still haven't fully grasped that there's really a baby growing inside me...

I do get nauseous quite often and have sore breasts too, but we're taking it all in stride

    indeed, still pregnant. Still pregnant

next ultrasound scheduled for September 4th. Then I'll be 12 weeks and maybe we can start telling people.
    Keeping quiet isn't that easy...

No, if you're happy about something, it's hard to keep it to yourself

That silence is indeed quite a challenge. I understand that you're finding it hard to keep it up. But just waiting is also something you need to get used to. Enjoy the time for yourself. After all, you still have an ultrasound to go. The news will come naturally then. Have a nice week.
