Long cycle, uncertainties from the past... what to do?
AnoniemGuest ·
Hi,
I had my Implanon removed on April 24, 2014, and ovulated on May 2 (according to OPKs). Then I got my period on May 12, lasting 4 days. After that, I had a 42-day cycle with ovulation on cycle day 31 (according to OPKs). I'm now on cycle day 19 and there's no sign of ovulation yet according to the OPKs, although I've had fertile mucus for over a week and had a temp dip on day 15. Other than that, I don't have sore breasts, which for me is a sign that ovulation has already happened.
In the past, I got pregnant at 16 and had an abortion back then. At almost 18, I had a large cyst on one of my ovaries surgically removed. Later, at 21, I got pregnant again, but it ended in a miscarriage.
So now, given my history and my weird cycles, I'm really worried that something is wrong. We're only in round 3 now, but something just feels off to me.
Should I see my GP already? (Maybe she can explain more about the cyst I had back then, because I don't really remember what kind of cyst it was, whether my ovary is still there, or if this is related to PCOS).
I'd love to hear your advice!
