My boyfriend and I had sex 1.5 days after ovulation. What are the chances it turns out positive? I've been feeling a bit nauseous since yesterday, but not too much... Could it have worked?

If that’s the only time you’ve had sex and you’re sure you’ve already ovulated, the chances of pregnancy are basically zero.

An egg only lives for a maximum of 12 hours...

Yeah, this month was the only time my boyfriend didn't mind doing the deed. I actually have to plan a lot for the right days to do something. I should be happy that he wants to do something, but he also really wants a baby. I have an app on my phone because I don't feel when my fertile days are, and I had between 36 and 25% chance.

So you're not 100% sure that you ovulated, which makes your chances even bigger

What you could maybe do next month is involve him a bit less in your cycle.. once YOU know it's time, be extra sweet to him.. surprise him with something nice and sex will feel less forced for him.
At least try to have sex 1 to 2 days before your expected ovulation, that increases your chance since sperm can live for several days.. then they're ready for your egg to be released.

Also try to make it clear to him that sex on certain days is just necessary when you're trying to get pregnant. Unfortunately, you don't just get pregnant on your own.
People sometimes say: 'just let it go and it'll happen', but even then you need sex at the right time.
The best is to do it spontaneously, but that's a disaster if it feels forced (especially in the long run!)

    Good luck!

I discovered this morning that I'm losing a little bit of blood, very lightly. My period is normally due between July 12 and 16, so it's way too early. Could that be implantation bleeding or not?

And what I find really weird is that supposedly I can't be pregnant because my ovulation is over and fertilization can't happen anymore, but why do I already have a nagging pain and light pink bleeding for a few days? If I had gotten fertilized and implanted today or tomorrow...

Nobody says you're not pregnant, but there's no way around it: you just have to wait and test.
You can't exactly peek through the forum to see whether you're pregnant or not...

Otherwise, you should do an ovulation test next time. It shows the days when you should have sex and thus have the best chance of getting pregnant! Both with my first pregnancy and this current one, I got pregnant in the first round using such a test! With our daughter, we tried twice and it didn't work, then we did a test in the third round and it worked. And now with our son, we did a test right away and got pregnant in the first round!!

Thanks for the tips, ladies. But I'm just going to wait this month. A bit of nausea, lower back pain, a weird feeling in my belly. You know, there's nothing you can really do with that. I'll just wait. If I still have nothing by July 20th and it stays very light pink blood, then I'll buy a test, otherwise it'll be next month.

I mainly feel kicks on the side of my belly, sometimes all over my belly... and he kicks so far forward... we'll see, it's exciting after 16 weeks... and don't the nostrils get a bit bigger and the nose more pointed?

You smell a lot more things when you're pregnant than when you're not, but if your nostrils get bigger, no idea

I've mostly had brown discharge now, which feels like the start of my period... so I put in a tampon just to be safe, but it's really hard to insert compared to usual and feels way too early. Also, it seems to have stopped. Now I just have nothing else except nausea and cramps. So ladies, I'll just wait and see. If it continues for a few days like this, I'll take a test to be sure.

Hi ladies. Sorry, last month was a bust. Now I'm in the right window. According to the calculations, my ovulation is in 2 days. So anything is still possible, right?

Sorry it wasn't anything!! But it will happen, just work to be done

And indeed, I was completely surprised last night. And tomorrow, according to the calculations, I should be ovulating. So hopefully there are enough little swimmers to get the job done. I am a bit worried because I lost a bit of blood shortly after and during the night while sleeping. Can that be harmful?
