How do you let go?

Wipeout
hey,

I think, or at least that's how I feel it, since we decided we wanted a baby, it's the only thing I've been thinking about. Even now, after it hasn't worked for over 2 years. Every month you still hold on to hope and feel all sorts of things. Now, on my 3rd IUI cycle, the hope that it will work this time has only grown stronger.

So you can't just let it go; this is something you really want, and that's just what you're focused on. You can of course try to find some distraction, hoping you won't be thinking about it as much, but I don't know how to do that

My first pregnancy wasn't planned; when I was due for my period, I already knew/felt it. The 2nd and 3rd were planned, but even with them, I never had this annoying urge to get pregnant. I was almost equally pregnant with both. The 4th and 5th pregnancies were also unplanned, but I already felt before my period that it was a hit.

And this time, now almost 11 months at it, I'm driving myself crazy. Maybe also because I'm worried about being almost 35, the D&C I had, etc... I think I'm afraid it won't work out.

I can imagine you're scared it won't work, but remember: if it doesn't happen naturally, there's a whole beautiful medical world out there that can do so much if you want it to.

Try to let go, and if you feel like you need help, I'd go to the GP if I were you.

Take it easy! Distract yourself, I'm going to do the same over the next two weeks because I'm having insemination this afternoon!

I just did my first IUI in Jette and I’m having symptoms that it’s not clean anymore. Everything I read about what you could have, I have. It’s only been since Saturday that I had an insemination. When I drive and the seatbelt presses against my lower belly, it feels weird. When I’ve scrubbed or worked, my lower back hurts like crazy. My breasts—help, so much pain. I’m also smelling everything way more intensely. It’s really hard to cope when you have these symptoms. The worst part is that bloated feeling down in your belly. So I took a test, of course it was negative. I’m secretly hoping it’s a hit though; it would save us a lot of money and save us the hassle when I have to stand in front of the class again in September.
