Hi there,
I gave birth to a beautiful son 3 months ago, but my partner and I would really like to go for a second baby right away. On June 10th, I went to the OB/GYN for a postpartum check-up, and that evening she noticed that my placenta had ruptured.
But now I still haven’t gotten my period. I’m having the usual cramps I’d expect, but they’re not coming through.
I’ve taken two tests, both negative.
Does anyone have experience with this or can offer advice?
Thanks!

First of all, big congratulations on your little boy!

    Just wait a bit, girl.

Maybe they need to come out yet, or you won't get them. Maybe you don't know your cycle well enough and don't know when you'd get your period. The HCG level doubles every three days, so test again.

Are you breastfeeding? They say you can get pregnant very quickly if you're, say, nursing.

    Good luck, girl!

    Hi, thanks for your reply.
No, I'm giving bottle feeding and I do know my cycle is a bit off, but since my gynecologist told me I was going to ovulate on June 10th because she saw it on an internal ultrasound, I should normally get my period 14 days after ovulation.
    Grtz

If you have a 28-day cycle, then yes, but you might have a longer one..
When I was trying to get pregnant with my first child, I never had the same cycle; the longest was 35 days and the shortest 25 days. I'd say wait a little longer.

And with the second one, I only had my period once, and it was a 25-day cycle...

Or else do a blood test; it works better than a urine test..
Or do another urine test on Friday.
