Positive pregnancy test due to leftover hCG after a miscarriage?

Hi everyone,
I initially posted this in the wrong section, so I'm sharing it here as well:

Two months ago, unfortunately, I had a miscarriage during the second trimester of my pregnancy. My period came back last month, and we've started trying again. Meanwhile, I'm 5 days late and have a positive pregnancy test (Kruidvat type: a clear plus, but the line is a bit lighter than the control line). Still, I'm wondering if I'm really pregnant (of course, I hope so!). Could it be that I still have pregnancy hormones in my body from my miscarriage, causing a positive test now?
Does anyone know more about this?
Thanks in advance!

If all goes well, the HCG hormone from your previous pregnancy should no longer be in your body, so this would mean you're pregnant again. Congratulations in advance, cautiously!

Otherwise, just call the midwife involved and present this to her. She can tell you more, and then you'll be sure to have reliable information because everyone has different experiences.

Fingers crossed that it goes well this time!

I had a curettage in June last year (at 7 weeks), and my test was already negative 3 weeks later, so I’m pretty sure you’re pregnant too. Congratulations!

    I think you're pregnant too.
The gynecologist told me that if you still have hCG in your body, your cycle won't start. So I really think you're pregnant.

    Let me know, okay?
