2-year-old son, phase of pushing and hitting other kids

That's completely normal, especially at that age. My oldest daughter, Yara, had it too at that age when she was in her toddler puberty. Now she's five. My youngest had it a bit less, but it's indeed a phase, the toddler puberty. And it'll get better on its own. Kids that age learn about their character unconsciously. So that means they're going to resist because they need that for their development later on. So they learn to form their own opinions. The advantage of a fiery character is that later on they won't let anyone tell them what to do and will bite back hard. But as a parent it's quite tough to deal with, but it passes. And have a lot of patience, no matter how hard. I always admired how our grandmother dealt with it so patiently. That was often a bit less easy for me, which made them only more difficult towards me. And with her they became calmer. I learned from her. Gradually I managed to make it my own to also deal with it calmly and patiently. The result helped. Strength on, and I think all parents recognize themselves in this. Greetings, Madelene

Thank you for your detailed message. Sometimes you feel like you're the only one going through this. You sometimes see other parents thinking, "Oh, your kid again." And that's really hard because he's such a sweet boy, and it's not like we parents are like, "Just hit him, it's fine." It's definitely a phase, and it has nothing to do with whether he's a sweet boy or not. And he certainly is.

    Thank you.
