Fatigue

Hi everyone,

I'm currently 5 weeks and 3 days pregnant with my first baby and sooooo tired! As soon as I finish work, I collapse on the couch in the evening. I'm feeling really nauseous in waves. My colleagues don't know I'm pregnant yet, but I'm not functioning like normal. How did you all cope with this? I'd really just like to take a week off and sleep all day... But that's not an option!

    Hello
First of all, big congratulations on your pregnancy

Yes, I went through that too. I was sooooo tired and could fall asleep at any moment! It was really hard at work! At 8 weeks I had told my boss, but he wasn’t allowed to tell anyone! Because he clearly noticed something was wrong with me! Once I even begged him in tears if I could go home because I couldn’t handle the exhaustion anymore!

    At least he understood!
And believe me, even if you take a week off to sleep, it won’t help. Even if you sleep 10 hours straight, you’ll still feel tired! It does get better after your 12th week, maybe even earlier. It’s tough, but I always thought, it’s okay, I’ll get something beautiful out of it in the end

    Hi ladies!

I'm about 7 weeks pregnant now and I'm acting like someone with chronic fatigue. I wanted to know if it's normal to feel completely drained and run down from being pregnant? Last year I had a miscarriage at 7 weeks, but now I'm terrified it'll happen again. I have an ultrasound in 1.5 weeks. I'm 22 now, so I'm basically lying in bed three days a week. I feel so ashamed because I know it's not good for me... do you know if this passes?

I had that too with both kids. It just gets less and less; your body still has to adjust to the pregnancy.

I'm now 8 weeks pregnant with my third and I'm also completely exhausted—it's just part of it. Some feel it more than others. After about 12/14 weeks, it'll get better again

    Hi ladies,

I'm now in my 5th week of pregnancy and have been exhausted and dizzy for a week now... I really just want to sleep all day long, and I've given myself as much rest as possible. The midwife told me that this is a very common pregnancy complaint and that I should mainly listen to my body. According to the midwife, it usually gets better after 3 months...

    Good morning, ladies!

    Congrats!!!!

I'm almost 12 weeks pregnant and still completely exhausted. This is our 3rd child but 6th pregnancy, and it's the toughest one by far. I can barely do anything before I'm wiped out. My housework is suffering, and my kids need attention, but luckily they're at an age where I can explain it to them. They're 9 and 8 years old. Often, the exhaustion comes with feeling really sick and vomiting. My body also aches terribly. It feels like I've been run over by a truck.

When I'm a few days more tired or sick than usual, I take a belly photo and see that my bump has grown enormously again. That gives me a really nice feeling. Then I remember what I'm doing it for. It doesn't stop me from having hormonal crying spells because I feel so worthless like this.

We really have to get through this, ladies, no matter how hard it is.

    Big hugs to you all!

Hi hi, I'm now 19 weeks pregnant and I'm feeling tired again. The only thing I can do is take it easy sometimes. It can be tough with a little kid around, but luckily I shouldn't complain too much. The fatigue will pass on its own. Stay strong with the tiredness and enjoy your pregnancy as much as possible!
