19 & Pregnant HELP!!

Hi everyone,

I'm 19. Lately I've been feeling really tired and often getting short cramps lower down in my belly. I stopped the pill half a year ago because I was on another pill that didn't mix well with it, but after I stopped the pill I had unprotected sex with my partner. Last December I didn't get my period, and not in January 2014 either. February was okay but came too early. In March I got my period twice (or bleeding) – one time for 3-4 days and then another time for a week. I've done 3 pregnancy tests – 2 in December and 1 in January – all negative. Still, I've been getting headaches, I'm often tired, sometimes feel a bit dizzy, eat more, and have gained weight (that could be because of eating more). During sex I sometimes get mild pain in my lower belly. Lately I've also been having shaky legs and a gurgling stomach, and sometimes very light nudges that quickly go away again.

Am I pregnant after all, or does anyone know of something else these symptoms could be from?

HELP ME, thanks in advance!

If you're under a lot of stress or feeling anxious about getting pregnant, you can indeed experience these symptoms. That doesn't rule out the possibility of being pregnant. If you really want to know for sure, make an appointment with your doctor.

    Warm regards,

Okay, thanks a lot. I don't have stress, but I am indeed anxious. But when it comes down to it, it's not that I don't want it. It's also not like we're planning it!

    Greetings ????

You can be pregnant, but very few people get a negative result on a store-bought urine test. I'd go to the doctor for a clearer test or a blood test.
If you were getting your period regularly while on the pill and now you're not, I'd definitely go to a doctor. Maybe you can create a Brabbels account if you turn out to be pregnant after all

Thank you so much, I would definitely do that. I also have a raised belly and it feels hard. I also have stabbing pains again. I took a test and it was negative. I don't understand where my hard belly is coming from. It's exactly like what I had before when I ended up having a miscarriage because I assumed I wasn't pregnant :s

So you had a miscarriage and maybe you're pregnant again?
It must be hectic, especially since not many people your age go through this.
Do you want to keep it if you're pregnant?

From your story, I gather it's not planned... maybe you should still have safe sex. There are plenty of people who really want a baby and can get so frustrated that they just have sex out of nowhere, and if they end up pregnant, this is apparently not the first time.
    Hopefully, everything's fine. Good luck!

    well... some do, some don't.
for me it wasn't safe enough either, but absolutely welcome although it wasn't exactly sex
I hoped I could give the chance to get pregnant to couples who want it so badly. I also find it hard when people just get pregnant and don't value it. To be completely honest, I'd rather throw a box of condoms at them.

Yeah sure, my partner and I are financially secure, both have stable jobs, and we're studying so a child is welcome. I wouldn't consider abortion at all, I prefer safe sex, but I don't have a problem with adding one more to the family!

    Thanks for your reply x

Just because it wasn't planned doesn't mean I don't want it. On the contrary, I wouldn't even mind; I'd actually find it really nice. Don't get me wrong, but if it were the case, I'd want to know early on. That's why I asked if anyone had tips, since the test came back negative!

Thank you for your understanding. It wasn't very smart of me to do it unsafely, but I would definitely want to keep the baby, I'm sure about that.

    Greetings xx

depends on the situation whether it's smart or not

Do you know if you're pregnant yet??

    What do you mean?

like: some people are ready for kids at 18, others only at 40. so being smart is really about the situation. if you're ready, then you are (it's handy if your partner is ready too). your age and studies don't make you dumb, it's about you and your approach
and like hartje asked: and are you pregnant?
