Hi there,
I'm 5 weeks pregnant and it feels like I'm 5 months along...
My belly is so swollen that I can't wear normal pants anymore...
I feel so much going on in my belly one day, and then the next day I notice nothing... Pff.. I'll be glad when I can get my ultrasound at 7 weeks so I can at least feel a bit reassured.
Best, IVFje

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! I had it just as badly with my second one. It's probably your intestines giving you a little belly right now, but still Pregnant is pregnant, right?

    Hi Iza,
Yeah, I read here that there are still women who experience this with their bowels... But yeah, being pregnant is being pregnant, right?
Finally... After 4 years of trying and 2 IVF attempts, I feel like I’m finally having some luck... But still a bit scared... And I can’t help but think about it every day... Even though others tell me not to do that... But it’s really hard...

Congratulations!! Maybe you're a bit further along in your pregnancy? Or like you said, holding onto more water.. Have a lovely pregnancy

    Hey sweetheart,

Yes, as I can read, there are more women who have a bloated belly around 5-6 weeks..
I can't say much more because I got pregnant with IVF...
I'm also very gassy.. Are there any other women who have this??? I feel so bloated it's almost unbearable... Pff...
But it won't be much that gets to me too much..
I'm happy that I'm finally pregnant!!
    Xxx

It really does come from your intestines. I had this too, couldn't fit into my pants after 6 weeks.

I really do have a belly like I'm already 3 months pregnant, and I'm only 5 weeks.
No idea what's causing it, I think it's my intestines combined with the hormones??

No worries at all, it's your intestines. It could easily be that in a few weeks you'll be back to square one and have a normal tummy again; that's when you'll start seeing the difference in belly growth. Right now, it's just too early for it to be the baby. Enjoy your pregnancy!
