Dark lines on the ovulation test for two days now, is this possible??

Hi everyone,

I'm new here and my boyfriend and I are trying to conceive.
I stopped taking the pill halfway through November.
After that, I got my period normally.
I waited for my cycle and then I had a bit of brown discharge. Took a test, negative.
Next time I was late. Took another test, again negative.
Called the doctor and they said to wait. Eventually 8 days later, I had a bit of brown discharge again.
The next time was in January, so I finally had blood after 28 days, so I think my cycle is back on track. Does anyone recognize this?
This month we started using ovulation tests.
Thursday and Friday I had a faint line. And yesterday a dark line. So positive. But today again a dark line. Is that normal??

Love

Has anyone here had experience with this, or can you explain it to me?

    Hi DNC,

I think this is totally fine. I also had a dark ovulation test for two days, though I did notice a slight difference between the two. If you get a positive ovulation test, it means you'll ovulate within 48 hours. Your LH peak is at its highest then. Lots of baby-making in the coming days! Good luck

Okay, today's one seems a bit lighter than yesterday's. Test again tomorrow? According to the internet, I should ovulate on the 17th.

Okay, it looked darker yesterday than today. I've added a photo to my profile.
Should I do another test tomorrow just to be sure? Or is that pointless?

The top test is darker, so I'd go with that as the reference. Good luck!

    Oké, thanks!

I’ve had that every time with D&C too. Your egg shows up positive on the second day after the first positive test. Sophia was able to check that because she tested and tracked her ovulation. Hence the wisdom

    dear readers

my husband and i are trying to conceive

i'm using ovulation tests. at first i had nothing, then after the second test there was a faint line. on the 13th i had a light and a dark line.

i don't know exactly what it means if i've ovulated or not.

who has experience with this and can give me more info? i still have tomorrow to take the test, on the 14th day.

if i were pregnant now, i wouldn't know yet.

    best wishes, nadia

Hi Nadia, do you maybe have a photo of the ovulation tests?

I'm exactly 3 days before my period. And yesterday I saw a faint line on the Kruidvat test. 2v5 and today I did an ovulation test and both had 2 dark lines. Weird, isn't it?

Hi! Does anyone have an idea? I've had a huge dark line on my ovulation test for 3 days now—the test line itself is many times darker than the control line. Does anyone know what that could mean?

Hi ladies, does it matter if I do the test around 5-6 PM? I won't do it in the morning because the urine concentration is too strong. What time do you all do your tests? Greetings from Lief

@Lief I thought it was actually better NOT to use morning urine for the test, but to do it a bit later in the day. I did the test myself daily around 5-6 PM. I found my ovulation around that time and got pregnant. Around that time it can certainly do no harm. If you notice you're close to your peak, you can test twice a day to make sure you don't miss it.

    Thank you so much, mamsie92!

I have a question. I got 4 positive ovulation tests, all with dark lines. What does this mean? Thanks in advance!
