pregnant?

Hi everyone,
I just wanted to get your opinion on this.

I stopped the pill a few months ago and since then I've had a very irregular cycle.
I always recognized my ovulation pretty well,
but last Wednesday evening I had my ovulation and that same evening/night we immediately started 'trying'.
Now I've had headaches for a few days, I don't feel great in the mornings (though I'm not throwing up), and I suddenly feel really hot. Yesterday I suddenly had (sorry for the somewhat gross description) a lot of white discharge. When I went to the toilet and wanted to wipe, I saw a thick white string hanging there. It was very different from fertility mucus because it was much thicker and stickier (not stretchy). I've heard that when you're pregnant you have more discharge, but it's still too early to test. When can I test? And could the GP already see it if they took a blood test? I'm so curious what all this means.
