tested too early

Hi!
In December I got my period twice. One long period of about 4 days, and then half a week later one lasting 2 days. On January 14th I did a blood test, but it was negative. I also used a couple of home pregnancy tests around that time, both negative. I think I had another period between Jan 22nd and 24th. Since then I haven't done any more tests, but I'm still feeling some pregnancy symptoms.
Did I test too early? Is my calculation off somewhere?
