Good evening (expectant) moms..

I just wanted to share my story here,
and maybe others can share their reactions/stories too.

My husband and I have been trying to conceive for 2.5 years now,
and since it hadn't worked after 2 years and 2 months, we decided to see the gynecologist.
We were told that for the next 6 months we should use syringes at home (we weren't examined, so we were sent home with 20 syringes) because my lower part is too narrow...
(collecting sperm in a jar, drawing it into the syringe, and injecting it into my lower part).
They also said I shouldn't think too much about it, (but when you're using those syringes, you know you're doing it to try to get pregnant)

I'd like to know if there are more people who got pregnant this way, and how long it took you.

I'm really pulling my hair out, and I have the feeling this might not work.

Love,

Joyce

Hi Joyce, it might sound a bit strange, but thoughts have power. If you don't really believe it'll work, your body will get into that mindset too, and then it definitely won't work. But if you think positively, imagine yourself already pregnant, and strongly believe in it, you'll have a great chance of conceiving.

I spent 6 years trying for my first child. Then suddenly, I strongly imagined myself already pregnant, believed I would conceive, and saw everything clearly in my mind. And to my great surprise, I got pregnant.

Few people realize this, but your thoughts do have power. If you don't have faith in those injections from the hospital, you're subconsciously sending the message to your body that it won't work, and then it won't.

So try to have faith in those injections and the way you're doing things now. Visualize in your mind that your egg has been fertilized.

    Best wishes, Marieke

    Hi Marieke,

that’s actually a really good tip for us too. Our doctor and gynecologist told us not to think about it at all, but just to go for it (sounds easy, but it’s not). We’ll definitely give it a try.

I do often imagine myself being pregnant (I even dream about it 3 or 4 times a week), and I’m often out with pregnant women or visiting friends, and even then I picture myself pregnant. And once I actually have a baby, those ovaries are going to go wild (my husband always says "clattering ovaries" haha).

I do know that I can get pregnant (1.5 years ago I went for a D&C for back pain, gave a urine sample, and they told me I was pregnant, unfortunately 5 days later I wasn’t anymore), but it just feels like it’s taking so long

Thanks so much for your story and tips,

we’ll definitely give it a try.

    Greetings, Joyce

    Hi Joyce,
    You're welcome!
I was in a similar situation myself; it took 6 years for my first child.
It's nice to know that you can get pregnant.
Your body has already proven that to you
I'm really glad to hear that I could help you with my tips.
If you want, let us know when it happens.
    When it's time?
    Greetings, Marieke

    Oh my, 6 years.
Kudos to you for having such patience.
I sometimes already go "phew, this takes so long.."
But waiting is worth it double and triple.
We're starting again next month so who knows
And of course I'll let you know with all love and pleasure

    Greetings,

    Hi Joyce, thank you
It's indeed very long, 6 years.
Fortunately, I didn't have to wait long for my second daughter.
Within 2 months I got pregnant.
There was no special reason why it took so long for the first one, because we were both fine.
But anyway, that makes my oldest daughter extra special to me
because I had to wait so long for her arrival.
That probably also strengthens the bond between you and your child as a mother
    Greetings, Marieke
