We can't figure it out...

Hi everyone,
We already have a son named Nathan, and for his brother, we're considering three names: Quinten, Maxim, or Ruben. But we can't decide which is the best, most beautiful, or ideal name. What do you think fits best with Nathan?
Thanks in advance!!!

I think Quinten is a really beautiful name for a boy, and definitely the most beautiful one in your list! So I'd go for Quinten without any doubt. Do you pronounce it like Quentin?

Ruben and Nathan were a comedy duo a few years ago in the Netherlands I think it's a really nice combo, those two names.

I think all three are super cute anyway!
    Good luck with choosing!

    Ruben and Nathan!

We happened to have Ruben and Nathan at the top of our list for a boy's name. Linguistically, they fit together best: both are Hebrew, both from the Old Testament (would you be interested in the origin?). Nathan means gift, Ruben "see, a son".

Quinten (I think Kwinten phonetically?) is Latin and means "the fifth". It was already customary among the Romans to number the sons (Primus, Secundus, Tertius...). Today, of course, the name is also used for non-fifth sons.

Maxim is also Latin and means the greatest, the best (Maximus). So it fits nicely with Nathan in terms of meaning.

Personally, I'd stick with Ruben, but that's what you want, of course. I also think Quinten is very nice. I like Maxim too, but I've already had so many in my class (maybe it's common in Belgium).

Thanks for the info, everyone. We would indeed pronounce Quinten as Kwinten.
Ruben is my number one, and Quinten is my husband's number one. For both of us, Maxim is in second place, but we're not going to just go with the second choice since it's second for both of us. I don't have any dislike for Quinten either; I just didn't like it...

    Quinten would I go with.

    I'd also go for Quinten.

Quinten, our son is also named Quinten, and everyone thinks it's beautiful! His nephew is named Nathan, and that fits nicely too!
