not yet on my period, pregnant or not

Hi everyone!
My partner and I are trying for our first baby. It's pretty exciting, but I normally have a 40-day cycle (sometimes shorter, but never longer).
My last period was on Dec 4th, and on Dec 26th I had a very light bleeding for about 15 minutes. I wouldn't call it a period. Now, I still haven't gotten my period. I took a test today for the last time and it was negative. Are there other women who had a negative test but were still pregnant? And when do you think I should test again?

Hi there,
Given your story, it seems like you could be pregnant. My period was a week before yours, and I tested positive on December 26th. Based on that, you should have tested positive by now, unless implantation happened later!
When did you last test? -

I tested for the last time this morning and got a negative result, but when I was pregnant last time and had a miscarriage, I was 3 months along and only got a positive test at two and a half months. That's why I'm feeling a bit unsure about it. -
