Hi ladies, I'm pregnant with a girl and my due date is in May, but I want to have chosen the name now and not change it anymore. We're torn between the names Yvonne and Felicia. What do you think, which name is prettier for our girl? Best wishes, Lindsey

I think Felicia is a really beautiful name, very feminine and elegant.

Felicia is indeed really lovely! A proper girl's name

I also think Felicia is the prettiest of the two. And it sounds better with Lindsey than Yvonne, if I may be honest.

Thanks, ladies! I think if I look at it this way, my husband and I are going with Felicia. But Emi, what do you mean by saying the name Felicia fits better with Lindsey? My name is actually Lindsey—do you mean her name should also fit with mine?
    Greetings, Lindsey

Well, I have an aunt named Yvonne, who's like 57 or something, and the elderly neighbor of my parents. I think Felicia is a nice, breezy name and Lindsey too, that seems to fit better. Maybe I'm overthinking it a bit, hehe.

Oh, I get it that way, like you explain it. Funny that you think about it like that. I also always think long and hard about things, so I understand. And like you explain it, it sounds logical. By the way, I'm happy with the positive reactions to the name Felicia because it makes it a lot easier for us, my husband and I, to choose this name instead of Yvonne. Greetings, Lindsey

You could also change Felicia to Felicity.

Hi sweetheart, I personally don’t think it’s very fair to accuse people here whom we don’t know of being fake. And besides, I’ve always been brought up with the idea that everyone should be allowed to hold their own beliefs, and that you should love your neighbor. Love, Manuela.

and I forgot one important sentence: I think people here can decide for themselves whether or not to respond to someone.
You write "not responding anymore," which sounds like you already have some say in what the other person does.

Manuela, I didn't know you were going to feel so attacked, and indeed, it might sound a bit harsh, but you probably didn't catch how she was behaving on this forum... Now that she's been banned or something, we can enjoy reading this forum again and get our questions answered. Have lots of fun on this forum.

    Warm regards, hartje

Hi sweetheart, I just wanted to reply. I feel so much secondhand embarrassment because Felicia is my sister. We’re twins and I look exactly like her, but our personalities are completely different. People often mix us up and think they’ve spoken to me when it was actually her. It’s really annoying, let me tell you, because I’m sensitive and considerate of others, while she’s blunt, sharp, and always ready to attack.

As kids, we used to clash regularly, and that hasn’t changed now. I don’t have much contact with her. She has a lovely husband and adorable kids. I actually feel sorry for her husband because she’s often harsh and blunt, not just with me but also towards her own family and even her children. She never considers anyone else’s feelings, it’s so awful.

But I totally agree with you, and with the other ladies here on the forum. She showed me what she wrote on the forum, and I was so embarrassed I had to curl my toes. She’s my sister, but I can’t stand her. It sounds really mean now, but she doesn’t really deserve such a loving family with her character. So I completely agree with you all. I hated being around her during my teenage years, and she was also popular, which made her even more arrogant. Anyway, I just wanted to share this with you all.

    Love, Erica

I might have typed something sloppily, but that's because I was running late for work. So, sorry about that. Best, Erica

I think Felicia is more beautiful than the name Yvonne. You hear Yvonne so often. Greetings, Elsbeth

Erica, is your sister's name Flicia? Or did you mean Lindsey??? That's a bit too vague!!

    Huh, weren't you Madelene?
