Hi ladies and other moms, I was wondering if there are more moms who were startled because they unexpectedly got pregnant again after just four months?

Hi ladies and moms, I'm Tajana, 24 years old, and I recently gave birth to a girl named Ilona. Now I'm so shocked! I found out today that I'm pregnant again. I wasn't feeling well, so I took a test at my husband's insistence, and the result was clear: pregnant. I used the digital Clearblue test that shows whether you're pregnant or not. But our girl is only 4 months old. We're shocked because it wasn't planned. We were just going to make an appointment with the GP tomorrow for the pill. I'm keeping it though, because I'm against abortion. But what now? How are we going to manage this? I'm a bit panicky. I hope there are some moms here who have been through this too and where it turned out okay and manageable. Who could maybe calm me down a bit. Greetings, Tajana

First of all, congratulations on your pregnancy! And I totally get why you're startled and confused, but luckily it's nine months before it comes to that. Your daughter will already be a year old and will be able to do a lot more on her own. Second, you're still used to diapers and broken nights, so it's better to have them close together because it's busy anyway (how much time is there really between them?). Try to enjoy it; soon you'll be the one sitting back while your two little ones play happily together

Hi Iza, thank you so much for your message. Yes, I hadn't looked at it that way yet. I think I was too quick to panic to see the benefits of what you're writing. What you say about those nine months is also true—I do indeed have 9 months to get used to it and prepare myself as best as I can. My daughter Ilona will hopefully be a bit more independent by then; she'll hopefully walk already, as you mentioned. I hadn't thought about how they'll be able to play together nicely later on. I can now look at it a bit more positively. Thank you, greetings, Tazana.
