fewer pregnancy symptoms if you get pregnant again soon after giving birth?

Just a quick question: could it be that you have fewer symptoms if your last pregnancy was only recently? I got pregnant again seven months after giving birth, and I'm amazed at how well I'm feeling. I still remember the first weeks of my previous pregnancy so clearly! I was nauseous 24/7, and it only got better when I lay completely still in bed. Now I don't have any of that at all. Could this be because there were still hormones around and the shift isn't as big now, or is something wrong?

Hi Rosalie, congratulations and enjoy your pregnancy! I’d say no two pregnancies are the same. Personally, I think it might be possible that because you were pregnant recently, your body still recognizes it so you don’t notice the symptoms as much. But I can’t say for sure. With my second child, I was also much more dizzy than with my first. Maybe one baby takes more vitamins than the other, and that’s why you feel sicker with one than the other. Greetings, Joze.

Anyway, it has nothing to do with how sick or not sick you are during your pregnancy, and nothing to do with whether your baby is okay, so you can rest easy about that. By the way, I just remembered something totally different, but did you know that the baby in your belly feels every emotion of the mother? So if you're sad, the baby becomes sad too because it feels your emotions. If you're very happy, the baby in your belly becomes happy too; it feels your happy emotions. It even feels your thoughts, and if you raise your voice or get angry, the amniotic fluid changes—it tastes like your angry emotions. The vibrations of the amniotic fluid change too. If you're stressed, your baby feels that too, and later on, it tastes that in the amniotic fluid. I have a book at home about this; it's very interesting. It might sound crazy, but if you say a few times with your hand on your belly, "I'm happy with you, and you're very welcome," the baby feels that in your belly until birth. Some babies are very restless at birth just because the mother had many stressful emotions during the pregnancy. I just wanted to share this with you. I wish you a very beautiful and nice pregnancy and lots of luck with your child later on. Greetings, Joze.

Hi Rosalie, congratulations on your pregnancy! I had 4 kids myself. With the first two, I was very sick and nauseous, but with the last two, I felt really good and wasn’t sick at all. So it’s quite typical that the first two made me so sick and the last two didn’t bother me at all. I’m stopping at 4 kids, by the way. But I wanted to ask, if I may, when did you find out you were pregnant again? I was wondering because you got pregnant so soon after. Best wishes, Sindy

When I'm pregnant, I can go to the toilet every day right away, so I noticed this and realized I was probably pregnant. So I already knew at 4 weeks. By the way, this is my sixth pregnancy and our sixth baby!

Hi Rosalie, first of all congratulations on your pregnancy! Wow, the 6th one, that's so exciting! You must be over the moon. I have two kids, a son Magnus and a daughter Lamijra, but now I have a problem. My husband and I really, really want a big family. We both come from large families; my husband is from a family of 7 children, and I'm from a family of 10. I'm the youngest in my family, and now we just can't seem to conceive a third child. I've been trying since mid-November and still nothing. It might sound really weird, but I thought, you're pregnant with your 6th child, do you maybe know tips for me, like the best days to have sex to get pregnant? I thought you might know since you have so many kids. Sorry for asking such difficult questions, but I'm a bit desperate. I dream so much about a big family. Anyway, good luck with your baby and enjoy this special time. Greetings, Sabinne.

Oh sorry, I'm deeply embarrassed for the quick type. I meant, do you maybe have tips on how to get pregnant faster? Greetings, Sabiene

Hi Sabiene, I had to laugh a bit at your question..hehe. I don't have a specific method or recipe for you, of course. You don't really get children by choice, you can't just take them...haha. I have PCOS, I don't know if you know what that is? But 17 years ago I was told that I could only get pregnant with extra hormones. With the first one, I was luckily pregnant after using Clomid for 1 month. With the second one, we were at it for 24 months with hormones, and that was a big mess! I had decided then that I would never go through that again. We had accepted that we had two children and that we wouldn't have any more. We are believers, and I believe that God created people and still does so daily; He makes a sperm and an egg grow into a unique human... So I asked God if we could have more children, and I left the how and when to Him; we took care of the ingredients, haha. So what the doctors considered impossible still happened; since then we've been able to have 3 more children, and there's even one more on the way! We had to wait almost nine years for our youngest child, and now I suddenly got pregnant again after seven months.

Sorry, so I don't have any tips for you... If you believe in God, I would advise you to just ask Him and leave it to Him... Have peace and let it go.

    Good luck with everything!!!

Hi Rosalie, what an intense story. It's beautiful how you talk about God. I do believe in God, thank you for your advice. I think I'm going to focus on God and ask Him, you know what's funny? As a kid I often asked God for things and they came true, but as an adult I sometimes think I shouldn't bother Him. Weird, right? But I think I can ask Him this. Look, we have everything we could wish for: two beautiful, healthy girls, both working, a car, both healthy. So sometimes I feel a bit selfish thinking about having a third child, but yeah, I'll try praying about it. Thank you for your answer. I did ask you a bit of a strange question, but yeah, I thought you'd have experience with it, with 6 kids. I can imagine you had to laugh. Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy and good luck with your little family soon. Greetings, Sabiene

No worries, dude! I'm glad I can help! Just one thing though; we can ask God for anything, but He gives us what's best for us, and that's not always what we have in mind...so let it go and entrust it to Him.

Hi Rosalie, congratulations on your pregnancy! It must be so exciting with your sixth baby. I’m four months pregnant with our seventh baby myself. I was wondering, do you want to know what it is? And when is your due date? Best wishes, Monieka

Hi Rosalie, these are the ages of our kids: Kristie is 17, Thomas is 16, Kimberly is 15, Thijmen is 14, Tiffany is 13, Julia is 11, and I'm currently 4 months pregnant. We'd really like to know what it is. By the way, this will be our last baby. After this baby is born, I'm going to start the pill. The girls each have their own room, and the boys share one room. Because of this pregnancy, we're going to move soon. Greetings, Monieka

That's so lovely!! Another little one on the way! We also thought this girl would be our youngest, but to our great surprise, she's getting some company between her older sisters and brother! So when she's 16 months old, we hope to have another baby! How wonderful!! It's great that you're moving! We've moved four times in twelve years, and where we live now fits just right, but we have two kids sharing two rooms... bigger would be nice, but if we move, we'd end up with a negative equity because the housing market has crashed... so we're just holding off for now.
