Hi!
We're expecting a girl, and I'm still a bit torn between two names. My husband has already made up his mind, and I'm almost there too. We originally considered Ysabel, but after some more searching, we suddenly came across Elivia. I think both names are really beautiful, but with Ysabel, I'm worried it'll be pronounced like "ice-abel." I think Elivia fits really well with our names, the combination with the last name is good, and I find it an original name. What do you all think? I'm pretty much convinced about Elivia, but still...

Hi Kimberly, it's a beautiful name, Elvia, but have you also considered that it could later be abbreviated to El from the name Elli? I personally find Elvira very beautiful and elegant, and that can also be abbreviated to El, so I'm hesitating about that. Ysabel isn't bad per se, but it's such a common name, not really original, so my choice would be made quickly. If I really had to choose between these two names, I'd go for Elvia.
