Baby shower or baby visit

Who of you has had a baby shower? We did for our family for our first (we had just moved and because of the busyness we did it like that, so everyone could see our house right away). But many people find it impersonal. We have a large family and not super much contact with them. I'm curious how you're going to fill your maternity leave!

    Oh so sweet!

    But make sure to watch your own limits: no more than 2 visitors per day, and keep at least one day free for your family.
    We sent out cards after the maternity week. The first week, only grandpas and grandmas, brothers and sisters came, and there were plenty of them!
