I was wondering how old your kids were when you started thinking about having a second child again?

    We waited about 4 years... the urge was already there, but we wanted to give our first all the attention and let him get a bit more independent. He's now 6 and our second is 8 weeks old. We really benefit from the first one going to school, etc. He's also really into it. Here now our little family is complete pfff busy with 2 kids...

    Our little girl is already 10 months old by now. I was already itching to have a second baby very soon after giving birth, but you need two people for that and I also wanted to enjoy some more pleasure with our first Now that my partner Peter has become an uncle to his sister's son, he's starting to feel the itch too... (he really wants a boy ) Of course, he doesn't get to choose haha... But we've decided to wait until at least December 2014 to start trying for a second. By the time that baby is born, our girl will be quietly heading to school She can start on September 1st, 2015, and then the new baby will be here, so I'll have the day before him/her all to myself and can pick up our girl from school so she sees that "ohh, mama is here for me too!"

    My oldest was 9 months old when I got pregnant with number 2. We basically didn't use any AC after the birth. We were kind of trying to avoid the egg-spraying period. The month we got pregnant was the first month we actually tried. No tickling or anything, we just wanted a second child.

    It started to tickle me again when our girl was 11 months old, but my husband wanted to wait until she was 1 year old and then try to get pregnant. But I got pregnant a bit earlier, five weeks before her first birthday. Greetings, Lela

    hi mom 24, i think that's a nice age for your little one to start thinking about a second baby, because at 3 years old they're already a bit more independent. i see my sister's kids are only 1 year and 9 months apart, and she's really struggling. she calls it the "tropical years" because of how tough it is, and seeing that made me doubt whether i want such a small age gap myself. that's why i'm asking here. maybe i'll wait until our girl is 3. greetings, joze

    Hi Joze, I read the post about your sister. It's indeed the toddler years, and I'm still in the middle of it now. I'm looking forward to the time when they're a bit older. I wouldn't miss my second child for anything, but if I could do it over again, I wouldn't have gotten pregnant before her first year. I would have waited at least until Eliza was 4 years old and in school, and she was already independent when the baby came. But yeah, you can't always predict that in advance. But it's definitely the toddler years! Greetings, Lela
