Pregnant or not?

AnonymousGuest ·
Good morning,

This morning I was on day 38 of this cycle. I took a test using a predictor test. Unfortunately, it wasn't positive.

My previous cycles lasted 32, 31, 31, 29, 34, 30, 33, 33, 33 days.

Symptoms I think I'm having:
- Fuller, heavier breasts.
- Occasional nausea in waves.
- Tired.
- Strange lower abdominal pain.

Could I still be pregnant? Or should I just expect to get my period late?

So sad that my question has been viewed over 500 times, but no one has left a reply yet.
I'll just wait calmly to see if I get my period after all, or if I'm actually pregnant.
I was hoping to talk to someone about it, for sympathy or just to chat.
Does anyone know a site where people actually chat?

    Hey,
I'm also waiting for my period. It's really driving me crazy.
I can imagine it's really stressful for you. Much longer than usual but a negative test :-(
It could be that the hormone levels aren't high enough in your body yet. Morning urine is best for testing, right? I'd wait another day or two and then take another test.
    Good luck!

    Hi Lotte,

    Thanks for your message.

I did it with (cold) morning urine. I was too lazy this morning to do the test right away, so I collected my urine around 6:30 AM and put the test in at 8:15 AM for 15 seconds.
Could that have affected the test?

I still haven't gotten my period.

    Hi,

I don't really know. I don't think so either, because you can also give a urine sample so they can extract the hormone from it... but maybe the tests work differently.
You're on day 41 now, right? I'd call the GP so they can check via a blood test.

I took a test this morning and I'm pregnant :-). Only 4 weeks (with the two weeks bonus included) now. We're keeping it quiet for a bit. It feels weird... very unreal.

I hope you'll get good news soon too! Keep me posted!

    Cheers

Hi Lisette, did you take the test again in the meantime?
