Does anyone have an idea how to pronounce the name Feran? Do you pronounce the "er" as "er" or as "eer"?

    I pronounce it as Feeran. And I think it's a really nice name. If you keep this in mind, I'll say... go for it!

    Oh, I expected to pronounce him with a short e, like you pronounce the e in "verweg".
    Such a lovely name!!!

    I did have him in mind. We actually wanted to go with Ferran, but it turns out to be a Moroccan name. Since we don't have any connection to anything, Feran seemed nice to us. It's a Saxon name. But we hope it's pronounced with a short 'e'. Or should we spell it Féran then?

    Yes, then a hyphen on it, two r's.
