I'd like to ask your opinion on giving the same name as your sister-in-law.

hi ladies i'm talia i'm 24 and pregnant with my second daughter i think my sister-in-law's name is really beautiful and want to give it to my daughter but my husband absolutely doesn't want to he doesn't like it when a name is already in the family he thinks it's weird to give his sister's name to our daughter but i think it's a beautiful name what do you all think about giving your sister-in-law's name to your child? it's not intentional naming or anything i just think it's a coincidence that it's a pretty name

Well... if you like it, why not? Our first son Bram is named after his middle name Diederik, honoring grandma, grandpa & dad because he's our first son & keeps the name alive. Our second son Gregory, now 3 years old, is not named after anyone!! Anyway, we think the kids' names are beautiful and that's what matters most, right? And you should think the same and come to an agreement together, of course, hehe.

Maybe you can come up with a variation of your sister-in-law's name?
Then it's not exactly the same but still a bit similar
I can understand that your husband doesn't really like it..
But you really choose a name together!

    Good luck!
