Crazy eating habits

Do you guys suddenly have cravings for things you normally don’t eat that often?
I’m really loving (and eating a lot of) sour candy right now, and, cliché as it sounds, pickles.
How about you?

Only my partner and I know about my pregnancy at home. I can't eat some things I used to love, but weirdly enough, I'm eating burgers in the morning. I'm eating more than everyone is used to.

Strange eating habits here too. Before pregnancy, I was crazy about chocolate, but now just thinking about it makes my stomach turn...
I really crave sour candies and all sorts of salty things like chips, fries, but also salami...

Hahaha I already had some weird habits before I got pregnant. I'm curious, ladies! :-)

    Hi,

Well, my eating habits have changed quite a bit. I used to love hot meals, but now just thinking about eating even a little bit of meat makes me feel nauseous. I can't get enough of fruit and veggies... and you also can't eat as much as before. I do need to eat constantly now; I really have to remember to pack something to eat in my bag when we go out.

Fatty things like chips/chocolate, etc., make me feel like throwing up just by looking at them. That food really disgusts me now...! It's so weird, I used to love chips!!

Oh well, there's still plenty of tasty stuff left

I felt nauseous yesterday from an apple...
But when I see chips, my mouth waters... I'll just have a little once a week, I shouldn't get too chubby. And fish, especially herring, is heavenly! But I loved that before my pregnancy too. I also had a huge craving for tuna for a week. That was pretty weird too...

    Hi ladies,

My craziest craving combo was loempia with stroopwafel. And just last week I suddenly had a craving for pudding bread. I told my partner I was craving hutspot, and he made it while I was gagging. By the way, folic acid also makes you gag!

    ugh...

do you spit out folic acid too...??
me too, I absolutely can't stand it..!!
it's so weird, I completely stopped taking that Davitamon mama...

    Hi,

I don't spit out folic acid, but it's so hard. It's so gross!
    Does Davitamon taste better?
  9. lined79 #10

    Hi,

Okay, every time I took that, I had to vomit right after... Well, then swallowing all that folic acid is not very useful since it doesn't stay in...

I now bought Davitamon Complete Mama, and it's going better.. It has no taste or anything, and it contains all the vitamins you need for your pregnancy.

Normally I always thought boiled potatoes were really tasty, but just looking at them now makes my stomach turn...
So I'm just eating the vegetables and a piece of meat now.
I think I'll try mashed potatoes this week, maybe that will help..
My boyfriend made himself a fried sausage one evening this week.. Just the smell of that sausage made my stomach turn..
Fortunately I'm totally crazy about fruit now, so I'm glad the fruit season is coming up!

    Hi ladies,

When I see or smell chips, I feel nauseous.
I'm currently really into jus d'orange, even though I rarely drink it normally.

I’ve never had a HEMA smoked sausage before, but recently my mouth started watering when I passed by a HEMA store.. In the spirit of not gaining too much weight, I bravely walked on by, but it felt so weird! And I have a thing with oranges now, I never used to eat them and now I’m crazy about them, for some reason.

By the way, do you also smell scents more strongly? Not always pleasant either..
  13. lined79 #14

    hahaha...

weird, right... I've also been really craving oranges lately...!! oh well, it's healthier than cookies and chips, right..

I'm really sensitive to smells, especially from the dog in the house... blegh...!! so he's kept out of the house as much as possible.
And I can cook food, but just looking at meat makes me feel incredibly nauseous.

Even though I love meat....!! but right now I really can't stand it...
  14. Janet1982 #15

Hahaha that thing about your dog is so relatable.. I had the same with our cats. Luckily for them, that’s over for me now. But a couple of weeks ago I was sitting next to someone on the plane and couldn’t stand his smell.. Switched seats with my partner, but he didn’t smell anything. While I - sitting on the other side - still felt nauseous.

I don’t have that with meat, luckily, being the carnivore I am. But I did with Asian food. Normally I love it, but I went weeks without it. Just the thought of rice.. Now that’s over too, luckily!

Our cat is always happy outside... in the evenings inside but then in the laundry room, so I'm luckily not bothered by it... O-)

I'll just list them again if they go against the grain, but I don't find pasta very appealing anymore... and then there's that tomato sauce... ugh....!!!

And besides, I drink a carton of milk every day... heeeeeeeavenly..! I could drink milk all day long.

Yesterday at work, I suddenly had such a craving for lollipops... My colleague specifically drove to the Jumbo for them. In the end, the whole department ended up eating Chupa Chups
  19. lined79 #20

hahaha that makes work so much fun and nice
