Hi,

when are you guys starting your maternity leave?
I've been home sick since today, the work just became a bit too much for me to handle for another 3 weeks before going on maternity leave.

I work therapeutically, but in mid-February I'm going on leave.

I'm required to stop working at 24 weeks.. so that means working until mid-April:-D

With the first one, I went on leave at 32 weeks due to high blood pressure, a bladder infection, and early signs of pregnancy-induced hypertension. With the second, I was self-employed and basically stopped working at six months.

I can only start maternity leave the week before my due date.
My due date is March 25th, and my last working day is March 17th
    It's starting to get tough.

I think I'll go on leave at 34 weeks. I still have a lot of vacation days left, so at the end of my leave I'll add a few more days

I'm stopping at 34 weeks. I did the same with my son, but he ended up being 15 days overdue. It was tough, but I got extra long leave. Hopefully, our girl will come on time! March 23rd is my last workday. I have to admit, I'm ready for it.

Here it has been changed and should work until I am 6 months pregnant, so until May 6th :-D

    Hey ladies,

I had my last workday today, isn't that nice? My due date is April 19th, so just enjoying the moment right now. This is my second pregnancy; we already have a 5-year-old son and are expecting a little girl now.

    Best, Chantal

Hi! I'm starting my maternity leave from June 26th :-) That's 6 weeks before the estimated due date. With my first, I had chosen 4 weeks beforehand, but then I was only off for barely a week and she came already hahahaha

    Best,
    Patty

What do you mean you can only stop a week in advance? You have the RIGHT to 4 to 6 weeks in advance.
  11. Desiree #12

I stop 4 weeks in advance. I don't work many hours, so it's easy for me to manage like that. And then afterwards, I get a lovely 12 weeks off.
  12. Tugba #13

I'm going on leave 4 weeks in advance, so May 21st :-)

Unfortunately, I've been on sick leave since 12 weeks... The chance that I'll go back to work is slim... Even after our little one is born, I'll happily stay home for a year... It's wonderful to enjoy our baby.. I did the same with the first one, stayed home for a good year.. Then I started working 16 hours a week... Just to do something different and not be a mom for a while.

I'll work until September if I can manage it. So about three weeks before. I only work 4/5 and am saving up leave now so I can maybe work 3/5 before I stop.

Nice if you have the luxury of choosing to take a year off work. Nowadays, you should be happy just to keep your job.

I’m also spending all 9 months at home! 3 months before, 9 weeks of maternity leave after, and then I’ll take parental leave, which is now 4 months.

I'm stopping at 36 weeks so I'll have an extra 2 weeks after the birth

    Hi!
I'm an obstetrician and due to bleeding at 13 weeks of pregnancy, the gynecologist put me on bed rest at home, so I've been home for a while. After I give birth, I'll start working again on July 1st, so I'm still home for now but enjoying it fully, getting everything ready calmly and resting as much as possible if it works out.

    Greetings, Melissa

I'm stopping at 34 weeks, which I have to do now because I'm already partially on sick leave. Then you're required to stop 6 weeks before the due date.
Starting next week, I'll be going more hours into sick leave.
The nights are breaking me down, and then I'm more of a zombie at work...
Working 36 hours a week is now too much of a good thing.... Physically heavy just to do standing work.
