can I be pregnant or not

Ladies, I'm a bit embarrassed to ask this question, but I'm really wondering about it, so I thought I'd just ask. I was wondering if I could be pregnant. I've gotten a bit of a belly, and I'm naturally slim, so people notice pretty quickly that I'm bigger than before. My stomach feels really bloated, and almost all my colleagues and people in my neighborhood ask if I'm pregnant. But I still get my period every month, so I doubt that's what it is. I've also only gotten bigger in the exact spot where you'd normally get a baby bump—it's tight and swollen-looking, not saggy fat. And sometimes I feel little pops. I can't quite describe it perfectly, but it's like little jumping jolts, very short. So my question is, what do you all think?

Go to the drugstore and buy a test... that's the only way to find out for sure. But if you don't have any other symptoms, it could just be your intestines. Good luck!

And have you tested it yet?

    Good luck, love, hartje.

Thanks, ladies! I'll definitely test it out. I'll stop by the drugstore tomorrow. Love, Sjorset

Ladies, I just wanted to share with you that I tested positive. A clear dark blue cross appeared – pregnant. Bleuhat did I do? I called the midwife practice, but the assistant asked me for my last period. But since I just kept getting my period, it's hard for her to determine which week I'm in, so she said I can come by immediately on Friday for an ultrasound tomorrow at nine o'clock. I find it quite exciting, so it makes sense that people thought I had a pregnancy belly and had gotten bigger. I myself think I'm quite far along when I look at my belly, but it remains weird because my period just kept coming. Well, tomorrow I'll know more.

I didn’t know if it was planned, but congratulations anyway!
A case of 'I didn’t know I was pregnant' here!

Wow, that's so exciting! Let me know after your visit with the midwife? I'm really curious how far along you are now!

Hi Chantie, thanks for your message! Yes, I'll let you know tomorrow how the ultrasound went and how far along I am. I still find it unbelievable that I got my period, but the test clearly says positive—I can't deny that. And I've got a little tummy too! I'll share how it went with the midwife tomorrow. Love, Sjorset

Congratulations, Sjorset! What a surprise for you two. I'm really curious how far along you are because everyone can already see your belly...

Congratulations! Any other complaints? Feeling a bit tired? I'm also very curious how far along you are and how it was to see your little one...

    See you soon. Xxx

Thanks, ladies, for your kind replies. So today I went to the midwife, and I was so nervous. And what a surprise—bigger than I had imagined. The midwife asked me to lie down, she looked at the monitor, and said, "I see it clearly: you're pregnant, very pregnant, with two." I was stunned and a bit shocked. "Two? What do you mean?" Well, exactly as I said: "I see two babies." She pointed them out on the screen. I saw two very large circles. "Those are the heads," she said. And she added, "Good thing you got tested, because you're already six months pregnant."

Double congratulations! I'm so HAPPY for you... In about 3 months, you'll probably already be a mom of twins, maybe even a bit earlier. How cool is that! How does your partner feel about it?

I was nauseous in August and September but didn't pay much attention to it since I got my period anyway. Now I know it was actually due to the pregnancy. I'm still a bit shaken, but I'm happy and my husband is over the moon. He's wanted kids for a long time, and it just didn't work out with his ex-wife from his previous marriage. After 16 years of marriage and trying, they split up due to the stress, so for him, this is a dream come true, as he puts it. I find it quite thrilling and a bit scary since it's twins. I'm becoming a mom for the first time and suddenly there are two babies! My husband wants to know the gender at the next appointment, but I want to keep it a surprise, so we haven't figured that out yet. Oh, we're going to be so busy with twins! Thanks, sweetheart, for your lovely message. Love, Sjorset

Just wanted to share that I'm so happy to be pregnant and becoming a mom of twins! I just had to get used to the idea, and I immediately bought a book about twin pregnancies and caring for twins so I'll be better prepared after the birth. I used to smoke two packs of cigarettes a day and stopped right away when the midwife told me how the babies get tar and nicotine through the amniotic fluid—not just through the umbilical cord, but also by drinking sips of tar and nicotine in the amniotic fluid. Yuck! I thought it was explained well, and she pointed out the diseases they could develop later on.

Because of me, you're now responsible for their chances of developing heart disease and that other serious condition later on. So when I drove home, I knew for sure: I'm not touching another cigarette until after they're born. I don't want to feel guilty throughout my pregnancy or worry about their health as adults and what role my smoking played. My husband is really happy that I've quit since he doesn't smoke himself. It's obviously quite unfortunate that I smoked during all the time I didn't know I was pregnant, but now that I know, I've stopped, and that's what matters most. Thanks a lot for your congratulations, love, Sjorset.

    Hi there,

Double congratulations! I hope you have lots of fun figuring out everything for the little ones and making their room beautiful
I can imagine you were startled to find out there are two of them and that you're already so far along. It's great that you bought a book right away and haven't touched a cigarette since!

    Oh my
Just a double surprise for you! That’s so incredibly beautiful!! And it’s really great that you quit smoking right away! Going from 2 packs a day to completely zero—I think that’s truly amazing of you! Well done
But you must have looked a bit strange, huh... First you find out you’re pregnant despite your monthly renovations going on, and now you’re getting 2 more! You really have a lovely story to tell your kids when they’re older
How did your surroundings react once they got confirmation of their suspicions??
