Birth card text

Hi everyone,

I’d love to get your opinion. We went to a design studio today for our birth announcement card. We want to use a butterfly theme. I’m looking for a nice opening sentence and was thinking:

'Just as a caterpillar transforms, I flutter towards life like a beautiful butterfly.'

What do you all think?

Best,

A bit too dreamy for me, but original!

Sounds nice, but for a girl. For a boy, I find it too sweet-sounding.

    Yes, it's for a girl :-)

Hi Zina, super cute text, that's exactly what I love! I used this text on the birth card for my second daughter: "We are grateful and happy because we received a daughter in the early morning glory." Yara's little sister was born, and we had a little drawing on it of a crib with a baby in it. The crib was in a forest surrounded by animals: rabbits, squirrels, Bambi, and a deer. They were all standing around the crib. Such a lovely, cute card. Wishing you lots of love and good luck with your baby!

Oh, and by the way, I don't think it's too sweet if it's for a boy, because anyway, a baby is a baby.

and I always find it weird how people make such a strange distinction. I have 4 sons myself, and with the first one, I had this really soft, sweet, and loving feeling. What's wrong with that? A boy is just as cute as a baby girl when he's little. By the way, I'm still hoping for a girl. If that wish comes true, my family will be truly complete. But that's just a side note, sorry, it has nothing to do with this topic. I just wanted to get it off my chest. Greetings, Kristien.

I think the text for your birth card is beautiful, great find! I also notice that there aren't many of those lovely, sensitive texts on birth cards. I really love that it's described so beautifully and captures your feelings.
