hard contractions

Hi everyone.
I'm 32.4 weeks pregnant today and getting strong contractions with the slightest exertion. I even get them when resting. I spent one night in the hospital for observation to see if the cervix was shortening due to the contractions. My cervix was already just 3 cm; they start getting worried at 2.5 cm. I was allowed to go home yesterday but really need to take it easy. Has anyone else had the same experience??

Hi,
I don’t really have hard contractions, but I do have a shortened cervix (15mm at 31 weeks). The gynecologist can’t say whether this might be normal for me or if something has already started. As a precaution, I’ve been given tocolytics and lung maturation shots, and the advice is to take it easy and avoid stress. Also, to contact them immediately if there are any changes or doubts. Hope this helps you a bit.
