Hi there!

I'm looking for baby names for a boy/girl since I don't know what it'll be yet. I'd love an original name that you hardly ever hear, but still feels special. I've been thinking about it for a long time in my little attic room, but I can't come up with anything. Maybe you guys know something?

Love,

    Hi Desch,

    Congratulations on your pregnancy!

If I understand correctly, you're keeping the gender a secret until the birth?

Are you looking for typical Dutch or Flemish names, or can there also be some Italian names mixed in?

    Best wishes

    Hi!

We don't know the gender yet, so we'll have to wait a bit. We'd prefer separate names, but anything goes—we're open to everything!

Could you not wait until you know the sex? That makes it a lot easier!

We didn't know and it turned out to be a boy named Dean:-D and a girl. I won't say the name, but I like short names. What do you think of Lara? Iris or Megan?

Yeah, I was already thinking about a girl's name Lena & a boy's name I'm not quite sure about yet.

We had Lina in mind as a girl's name, it sounds like Lena.

My son is named Ethan, and now we're having another boy who will be named Aiden.
If Ethan had been a girl, she would have been named Vanity, and if Aiden had been a girl, she would have been Sky.

    Hi!

Our girl is named Liv, you don't hear that name as often either.

    Love,

I have two daughters, Shae and Evi.
If they had been boys, they would have been named Kai and Sem.
You rarely hear Shae; you hear the other names quite often.

Good luck with coming up with names—it's not easy

For a boy, I don’t have many, but here are some for a boy: Vassili, Xander, Sonik, Jordan, Pedro. And now for a girl: Filijne, Karlijne, Tirza, Shenen, Samira, Iera, Joselijn or Joselien. By the way, Sieta, Vanila, Xsana are English girl names. I find them original and don’t come across them often. Lots of love, Marieke.
