What is the origin of the name Nyah?

Hi everyone!!

Could someone help me with my search for the origin of the name Nyah? I can't get further than the African origin, but I'm not satisfied with that. I do know that it means purpose/statement or determined. But how can you know the meaning if you don't even know the origin clearly? Time is running out, my belly is about to pop, who can help me???

    That's indeed the only thing I can find about it... Africa & cause. Well, maybe you should assume that your little one will have a good cause or achieve something great!!

    I think it comes from North Africa,
    or it's an Arabic name. It's used a lot in our conversations and as first names.
    It's a name with a lot of strength
    Hopefully, you're not put off by it being of Arabic origin?

    I also have a question: how do you actually pronounce it? If you pronounce it like a regular I, it sounds Arabic, but if you pronounce the Y like in English, it doesn't sound Arabic at all.

    I don't know that name from the Arabic side. It sounds more like a modern creation, maybe inspired by names like Maya or Leah. If it's not a traditional name, then it doesn't have a fixed meaning. That's okay too, I think. You can just choose what sounds nice. If you're unsure, check the name book, but I wouldn't stress too much about it.
