opinion on the name Lumi (Finnish name)
I'm from Finland and Lumi means "snow" in Finnish. I think it's a nice name but I'm not sure what you (Dutch people) think of it... so all reactions are welcome!

We named our daughter Lumi. I really wavered between Phoebe (Fie-bie) and Lumi (Luu-mie/Loe-mie). It was only after she was born that I knew.
I think the pronunciation is personal. Phonetically, it has similarities to Lucy. Some say Luus-sie (Dutch style), others Loew-siej (English style). With Lumi as a Finnish name, it would have an 'oe' sound. But for me, the 'uu' sound feels more natural in Dutch. I'm fine with both pronunciations. My husband prefers the 'oe' sound though. So Lumi can decide later which pronunciation she wants to present to others.
