I did have some stomach pain after having the Mirena removed... no bleeding though, but it could still happen. It's also possible that you are indeed pregnant, but a test should show that, or your period should come back!! S6

After removal, it's normal to lose some blood.

How did you know that week was your fertile window?

The chance that you're pregnant is very small, but it could happen, because miracles still happen. Ultimately, a test is the only way to know for sure if you're pregnant.

Have you found out anything more by now?

Good luck and be patient, because that's what you need when trying to conceive.

    Hi ladies!

I had my Mirena removed on Thursday, and on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday I had quite a bit of bleeding. Bright red and sometimes slimmy/stringy with clumps.. Now (Monday) absolutely nothing, except for a few drops. I had the Mirena for 2 years and before that the mini-pill for 2 years, so I haven't had a period for 4 years already by last Friday! So I have no idea, was this my period?? I hear that bleeding can also be a result of the removal.

    Thank you, greetings,
    Els.

I had my Mirena removed on Feb 20th and after 5 days I started bleeding heavily and I'm still bleeding now. Before that, between my first and second son, I also had a Mirena. It was removed after 6 months and then I also had bright red bleeding for about 14 days. After 3 weeks I didn't get my period anymore and it turned out I was pregnant! It can happen fast.

I also had my Mirena removed 12 days ago, but I didn't lose a single drop of blood. After 10 days, there was a little bit of bleeding, and it only lasted for a day. Is that normal? Or am I pregnant?

    Hi ladies!
I had my Mirena IUD removed on Tuesday morning after 4.5 years. I didn't really bleed much on Tuesday itself, but from Wednesday to Saturday I had bright red blood. Do you think my period started right away? Or does anyone have experience with heavy bleeding after having the Mirena IUD removed?

@anoniempje how nice that your period has already started again so soon. It could have taken months too
