Hi... who can help me with my question? I had my IUD removed in April and every month I've had my period on time. But last month I was supposed to get my period on the 20th, and I got it on July 16th. I had a heavy period with lots of clots. I had it really heavy for 2 days, then it stopped, and it became more brownish. Now, a week after the first day of my period, I first had a day with light brown discharge, and the next day when wiping after peeing, I had a thick mucus plug that was clear to slightly yellow in color. Does anyone know if this is normal so soon after my period? I do get mucus when wiping, but usually around ovulation. That seems too early to me! Who can relate to this?

Doesn't the heavy period look like a miscarriage?

Hi, I'm new here... I'm 29 and have been off the pill for 2 months now. I got my period on time last month on June 24th... and this month I'm already five days late... I took a test just now but it was negative... I do have to pee more often and it feels like a really full bladder... I have white stretchy mucus discharge and my breasts feel heavy and sore... I can't sleep because of it... I also have more cravings for food... and then after eating I feel nauseous... if I'm not pregnant what could this be? Can someone tell me... I'm not stressing about it... I tested today and it was negative so I had a question for you guys

    cheers Shona

Shona, it's quite possible that you're still coming off the pill.. You've only been off the pill for 2 months.. I'd wait a few more days.. Maybe test again at the end of this week or beginning of next week.. Still negative? Call your GP for a blood test.. They can also see where you are in your cycle and when you can expect your period roughly.
    Good luck!

Mama'tje, I also thought about miscarriage at first. And it can happen that quickly, then your cycle is completely messed up.. It's always possible to lose some mucus outside of ovulation, but this depends on woman to woman.
