    Hi little one,

    Just quickly replying: is your friend having fraternal twins or identical twins? I myself am an identical twin with my twin sister, and my husband's sisters are also identical twins. In my husband's family, there are 2 sets of spontaneous triplets hehe. I've talked to my midwife about it. But an identical twin pregnancy is actually a mistake during the early development of the embryo and not hereditary. Fraternal twins are hereditary (I was one of a set of triplets), so we'll see. Well then, let's look on the positive side; we'll have to puff ourselves up less once, we're already on our way anyway;-) xxxx

    Hey flower!
    My friend is part of a fraternal twin pair. I know that multiples can be hereditary, but I don’t know how much that applies to us. He and his brother are the only twins in his family, and on my side, there are no twins at all!
    Does that mean we have a higher chance of having multiples?

    Hi little one/girl,

    Two eggs is indeed often hereditary, but it often skips a generation...

    In principle, it's not because my sisters-in-law have two eggs and I do too. But because I was part of a triplet set where the boy passed away, it could be possible, but the gynecologist said that's almost never the case. So we'll just wait and see.

    It does seem like a girl to me too; it's nice to have little tutu dresses, skirts, and do up little hairdos. But a boy is just as welcome... that would then be a true heir to the family tree;-) Also very nice xxx

    I know you have to wait a bit for a pregnancy, I'm rooting for you. I'm now 17 weeks pregnant and I'm dreaming and hoping so much for a girl. I already have two healthy boys. It would be so nice to have a little princess

    We knew at 16 weeks with our first pregnancy that we were having a girl
    There's not much of those hair clips and fussing from the brands yet....

    She has little hair, pulls out all the elastic bands/clips and doesn't like fussing but getting dirty

    Hi everyone.. I can't sleep because I'm really focused on getting pregnant. It's not going smoothly yet, but there's nothing I can do about it.. Many people think I'll be a girl mom, but I feel like (if it works out ) we should get a boy first.. I really hope August becomes our month (and for many others too!)!

    @ ster nynke: you were on another topic on the forum a while back, nice to read that things are going well with you and you're already a few weeks pregnant! Enjoy it!

    I really, really want a girl! Sometimes I feel a bit guilty about it, because you should just be happy if the baby is healthy. It didn't matter as much before, but my boyfriend already has a son, so now I want a girl so badly!

    Kim, it's indeed going really well with us. I'm even back at work

    We're getting our 20-week ultrasound on Aug 14th, and hopefully, they'll be able to see what it is then. If they can't see it, I think I'll still get an extra nice ultrasound done. I really, really want to know.
