How did you all experience your birth in hindsight? Here's my story:

At 36+1 weeks, I woke up in the night feeling nauseous and vomiting. Went back to bed, and an hour later I thought, hey, my underwear feels weird. Blood loss and a mucus plug. Okay, so back to bed, but soon after I had to go to the toilet to pee and there was quite a bit of blood. It kept coming. Suddenly I also had severe back pain. I didn't trust it, so I called the midwife. She said I already had some dilation, so I went to the hospital. I was there for 3 days due to the bleeding and quite a few contractions. I was getting weak, so after 3 days in the hospital I went home with Rudy and could finally relax. I had 1.5 hours of early labor, and then the real thing finally began on May 19th at 37+4. My water broke at 2 am, but our little man had pooped in the amniotic fluid, so we went back to the hospital. I was transferred to the OB. I could help myself with a warm shower, walking around, and massages from my husband because I had back labor. At 09:05 I pushed, and at 09:33 our son was born without any pain relief. Actually quite fast for a first-time birth, despite those 3 days in the hospital. In week 36 I had a beautiful birth experience. We're definitely going for number 2!
