Help, feeling so discouraged!!!!! Rare temperature curve

Hi ladies, I have a question. This is the first month I’ve been tracking my temperature because I had an underactive thyroid again from March to May, so it’s possible I didn’t ovulate.

I’m afraid that’s indeed the case. I started tracking on day 10 and continued until today:

36.4, 36.4, 36.6, 36.7, 36.7, 36.3, 36.4, 36.4, 36.3, 36.2, 36.5, and today 36.0,,,,,,

I’m now on day 21 and still haven’t ovulated. I have had fertile mucus for a week though (which I find quite long). Honestly, I’ve lost hope now, as this is exactly what I’ve been worried about for months.

Could someone tell me more based on my temperature curve over the past 11 days and the mucus discharge?

    Hi hi,

I don't want to scare you, but my temp curve looks pretty much the same, and I haven't had an ovulation since I stopped the pill in November (+5.5 years of pill use before that).
But I also don't get my period and I don't have stretchy cervical mucus.
I went to the GP with that curve and was referred to a gynecologist.
I'm starting Clomid in July to induce ovulation.

Have you been off contraception for a long time already?

Hey, I sometimes have a cycle of 32 days, sometimes 35, the longest being 42. Since February, no IUD, but the IUD doesn't flatten your egg like the pill has for 2 years now, okay, but now I've had a drop and it's rising slowly, and stretchy mucus and little twinges on the lower right side... when should I go to the GP?

Well girl, then I'd just go by your ovulation date..!
Maybe track your temp next cycle in combination with ovulation tests?
    Then you'll know for sure.
I have to be honest and say that I don't think you'll get much more help from your GP.
You do have a fairly regular cycle.. and you've been trying, however harsh it sounds, "not long enough"... That was already the case for me, it's so blunt!!

By the way, have you been taking medication for your thyroid? You could ask your GP if that (still) has an impact on your ovulation!

    Okay, sounds better already.
I take standard Euthyrox and I know that if I get too little, my fertility drops.

    Okay...
Well, if you have a dip and then a rise again, you'll just have an ovulation!

Hope he’s gaining weight slowly but yes, it’s true, he turned 21 in January.

You can also enter your temperature here on brabbels.com, and it will indicate your ovulation using color, provided it drops/rises enough. That way, you don't have to fuss and wonder so much whether it's right or not.

I'm also 21.. It caught my eye, I don't know many girls who are already consciously trying to get pregnant at 20/21

Where should I enter those then?

We're not trying consciously. I can't take contraception because I'm allergic to the proteins in it, and I get really sick from it. So we say if it happens, it happens, but we do want it.

But because of my thyroid, I'm afraid of not getting pregnant, and then I'd rather know than have a year of disappointment later But welcome, it definitely is.

    Hi sunshine,
Is it maybe an idea to use the persona? That's a contraceptive method, using ovulation tests. That way you know if you've ovulated and whether it's safe to have sex or not. Two birds with one stone... you don't use medication, and you know when you're fertile!
