What do you think of this boy's name?

Hi,

We're looking for a nice boy's name but haven't found THE one yet.
I really like the name Bowen but it doesn't sound great with the last name.
What do you think of Bowie? I find it cute but also cool, but on another forum no one liked it so it disappeared from my list. But somehow it's still stuck in my head, so I'm curious about your opinion!
Other ideas are welcome too.

Names we also like are Dani, Xavi

    Hi Moon,

    I think Bowie and Dani are nice names. But don't let other people's opinions bother you. If a name sticks in your head, just go for it! It's nice if others like the name too, but don't let that dictate your choice. You could think of it as keeping the name relatively unique, since nowadays everyone seems to give the same kinds of names. And you know, eventually every name becomes "yours" and will belong entirely to your little one!

    I know I shouldn't rely too much on other people's opinions, but they thought it was a dog's name, and I don't want to do that to my baby outy:

    Well, it could work for a dog too, but it really depends on your frame of reference.
    I’m more into horses, so I tend to associate that kind of name with horses I know.
    We’re having a boy and we’re going to name him Armando. If you check out the name forum, you’ll see my question about this name, and I asked what kind of vibe people thought it gave off. Not everyone had positive things to say, but it just didn’t fit our background at all, so I mostly found it funny to read.
    You thought Bowie wasn’t a dog name at first, and apparently you don’t know any dogs with that name either, so I’d just go for it!

    Yes, that's true :-) Now we're thinking more about the name Xavi :-) Luckily, we still have more than three months to make the decision!

    Yesterday I heard the name Bodhi for a boy. I think it's nice too.
