calculate ovulation

Hi ladies,

I'm new here.
My boyfriend and I have been trying to get pregnant for a year now.
On April 2nd I had a positive test, unfortunately on April 23rd I had a miscarriage and on May 2nd a D&C.
Now we really want to try again, but I'm a bit unsure if I calculated my ovulation correctly.

My cycle is 25 days and my period usually lasts 6 days... So is my ovulation on day 11?

Hope you can help me with this.

    Hi AM,
    Thanks for your reply.
Yeah, it’s okay actually. At first, I had a pretty tough time. Moments when you think... was I even pregnant or not etc.
I was menstruating from May 24th to May 29th.
I just checked the link you sent me.

It says that probably June 4th was my ovulation day... according to my app it was the 7th.
My partner and I had sex on the 5th, 6th, 7th & 8th.. Do you think it could have worked or is it too late? How are you doing after the miscarriage??

Ok, yeah, do you also always feel your ovulation etc.. because then it's also a bit easier to check if you're in the right position or if your cervical mucus changes.. by the way, there's a big difference between 4 and 7..
Yeah, I had a really hard time in the first weeks after my miscarriage.. and took a bit more time for myself.. the special thing was that I got pregnant right after my first period and I'm almost 12 weeks now.. everything's going well..
I hope it works out for you this round too!!

Yeah, I had a really hard time in the first few weeks after my miscarriage and took a bit more time for myself. The special thing was that I got pregnant right away after my first period and I'm almost 12 weeks now. Everything is going well.
I hope it works out for you this round too!!

I don't feel my ovulation very often. Last week I thought I felt it on the 5th.
It's indeed a big difference, I thought so too.
It's nice that you're pregnant again and at 12 weeks now, past most of the risks. Nice!!

Yeah, I had the same thing. Took a bit more time for myself.
I really hope I'm pregnant again on the 18th. Sometimes I have a dip where I think, "Wish I were pregnant." And with that thought, I end up hoping even more that it'll work out this time.

    Xxx

    Hi..
Yeah, I had that too back then.. you keep thinking that if I were still pregnant, this would be the case now etc..
Let me know if it worked out?
I really hope it does for you!

    Yes indeed.
I happened to go to the gynecologist this morning for a check-up, and he said that something went wrong with my miscarriage between 5 & 8 weeks.
And that the next pregnancy would have a 90% chance of going well.
That's nice to hear, but for now... you never really know.

I'm currently experiencing a lot of discharge, heartburn, and nausea.. Hoping to get a positive test on Tuesday.

    Xx

    Hi AM,
I just wanted to let you know that unfortunately I got a negative test and later on got my period.
This time I'll keep an eye on my ovulation via the internet.

    Hi Samirah,

That's so sad, what a bummer!!!
I used the digital ovulation tests from Clearblue myself because I didn't like being in the dark etc.. yeah, an ovulation test isn't a guarantee of course, but it gave me a bit more insight into my cycle.. lots of girls take their temperatures, but then you often have to do it for a few months to get some idea etc, but everyone has their own method/preference..
It's nice that the gynecologist was so positive, they said that too, and you should just trust that, it'll be fine!!

Hey, yeah, definitely a bummer, but we'll just try again.
Okay, I think I'll get those too.
Taking my temperature isn't really my preference.
But it was still a disappointment, just the fact that I was so focused on it all month and hoped for it so much.
But we're going to tackle it again hihi.

You're better off paying attention to your body rather than calculating, because a cycle can change suddenly.

During your fertile period, you get more of a desire for sex and also a lot of discharge in the form of raw egg white.. you usually have this for a week and 1 to 2 days before your period stops, ovulation occurs.
If you keep an eye on that, it's much more reliable than counting or ovulation tests..
And you know directly when you should roughly get your period, this is on average 14 days after.

    @Dromertje congratulations on your pregnancy..
Everyone has their own experiences, for example I had more discharge etc in the form of raw egg white for days before my ovulation, but not on the day before and the day of ovulation. I found this out thanks to the Clearblue ovulation test and the digital one is really very reliable, I was actually 2x pregnant the first time when I used these tests..
Getting pregnant depends on many different factors of course..but I quickly discovered all the symptoms of ovulation thanks to the Clearblue ovulation test..and if the smile from the test was there you can calculate your DPO exactly..
@Samirah, let us know how this round went?

    Love
