Pregnant? Or not...

Hi everyone

I'm now 7 days late and have quite a few symptoms of "being pregnant"

Took a test yesterday that showed negative. A bit disappointed, obviously, because it's very welcome! Put the test aside and wanted to throw it away this morning, but then I saw a positive line! Could it be that I am pregnant after all? My husband is a bit scared and thinks it might be a line that appears after some time.

I think I still have too little hCG in my urine and that's why it took so long for the line to become visible... I feel completely different than other months. Pain in my belly, greasy hair, pimples on my back, face, and above my breasts. Sore breasts in the morning, more desire to eat, more thirst, more urination, more emotional

Can someone give me their findings please? If I don't get my period on Sunday, I'll take a second test, but waiting can sometimes take so long! :-)

    Hey Niki!

    I have almost the same as you! Monday was my expected period and now still no period.. Tested Wednesday morning but it was negative. I'll do a new test tomorrow or Saturday. Since I stopped , I've had a 28-day cycle every time. That's why I think it's quite long now that I'm late. I hope we're pregnant! Good luck anyway

    Hey Kimm!

    My previous cycles were 28d, 27d and 31d so I'm sooooo curious! I'm glad I'm not going through this alone :-) Please keep me posted, I'll do the same... We can swap stories.

    Hope that for both of us the next test will show a big +! I'm finding it so hard to keep this to myself, and my husband of course, and now I can't even share it with my mom! But I just have to grit my teeth for a little while. Imagine if it's nothing, I don't want to disappoint her either.

    How long have you guys been trying?

    Yeah, it's nice that you're not alone, right? When I read your story, I immediately thought, oh, just talk to someone who feels the same way. My cycles are 28, 28, 28. Very regular, so... And I've been at it just as long as you, I see. Coincidentally! I think I'll test tomorrow, but I'm not sure if it's too early on Wednesday, since I already tested then. Otherwise, I'm feeling pretty good. Lots of peeing and a sort of crampy feeling in my lower belly. No sore breasts yet, but I read that can come later too. What would you do, test tomorrow or Saturday? Do you already have an idea when you want to test again? My mom has known since this afternoon, couldn't keep my mouth shut and really needed to let it out haha

    I'm only going to test on Sunday or maybe Monday. I still have a test from Kruidvat at home, and if it gives a second line faster than yesterday, I'll grab a digital one! I'm so curious and can hardly wait anymore! It's all so incredibly exciting, right!

    If I were you, I'd wait until Saturday. They say hCG levels double every day, so you might be better off waiting an extra day. Unless you really can't hold back! I say I'll test on Sunday, but I know myself, hihi.

    I'm curious too!!! :-) It's really nice to share experiences with someone in the same boat.

    Yeah, that's better, but I'm getting married on Saturday so it'll be tricky haha. And I'm going on my honeymoon on Monday, so I'd actually like to know how things stand before then. I could maybe call afterward to ask for a blood test or something if it's negative again. Otherwise, I won't understand a thing. We'll wait and see, and I'll keep you posted, girl.

    Hey Niki, just tested and it's negative again. I think my body is just confused. I'll just accept it and see when my period comes. I don't feel like stressing about a possible pregnancy tomorrow or during the trip, so unfortunately, we'll have to wait until we can move on to the next round. I'm definitely rooting for you though!     Congratulations in advance on your wedding!! Have a great time!

    I can stop counting down and testing, I got my period last night, I'm now on day 35. On to the next round! This was only our first month "for real" because I wanted to get to know my cycle a bit first!

    It’s rare that I keep feeling nauseous... Could it be implantation? I don’t know anymore :-)

    The blood looks a bit different and there’s quite a bit less compared to usual...

    Hi Kim,

    I finally got pregnant on May 31st! I woke up in the middle of the night from severe stomach pain, so I knew exactly what time it was! My last period was 35 days ago.

    Maybe a bit of a weird thing to share, but yesterday I lost a mucus plug and I suspect that means I ovulated yesterday. I've been busy doing a lot of DIY stuff, hopefully they'll stay away this month!

    It's all so exciting! I've got a lot on my mind at the moment though—work pressure, a birthday, a notary appointment, and our move! All fun prospects!

    Hi Kimm,

    I had bleeding for 3 days on June 26th, but it didn't smell at all like Ongi's smell!
    So I took a test last weekend, which unfortunately was completely negative...
    My cycles are now; 28d, 27d, 31d, 35d and 26d. Meanwhile, I'm starting to understand my body a lot better! I had thick white discharge last weekend, indicating ovulation! :-)
    So you can imagine how many busy days it's been ;-)

    I just don't dare to test anymore now, I'll just wait and see if I get my period or not. On July 21st I'll be on day 26, so I'm curious... Hopefully it works this time, otherwise we'll start with those ovulation tests. I'm getting a bit fed up with not seeing a line on my test!

    It's really hard because no one knows that we're expecting our first baby! Not even my mother... Meanwhile, 2 friends are already pregnant, one for this year and the other for 2014! I'm so happy for them, I can hardly wait until it's our turn!

    I do have a few "discomforts"; lots of pimples on my forehead, breasts and back, swollen breasts, blue veins over breasts and nipples, nausea but this goes away when I eat something, stronger sense of smell, and a bit more emotional than usual. I don't want to drive myself crazy, but my body is doing strange things to me! :-)

    Yeah, it sucks, doesn't it? You just want to have a bright positive test in your own hands yourself.. Around me, everyone is also pregnant; 2 friends are almost due and 1 gave birth last weekend!

    I don't mean to give false hope, but you do have a lot of discomforts, right? Try to wait until your due date, and keep a close eye on your body! If it persists, you can definitely take a test earlier, but you'll know best whether you can handle it or not. Good luck with waiting, and I'm rooting for you! I'll let you know tomorrow if I've taken a test

    I can totally imagine! Funny, isn't it? Both of us in roughly the same situation. Same cycle stopped, taking the pill, and friends who are pregnant!

    Now the pressure is high, obviously, because everyone, and I mean everyone, says: "Now it's your turn..." They have no idea!

    I know I have some symptoms, but I did an early predictor test and it was negative. Oh well, we'll see! I do notice that my stomach is getting harder to pull in than usual. My husband thinks I should get a blood test done.

    I'm counting down, full of tension, but trying to relax! On Monday we get the keys to our house, so I'll have plenty on my plate anyway. Before I know it, it'll be over! ;-)

    Sunday is the day!

    I've noticed a few other things in the meantime. Since yesterday, I've had mucus discharge again where you can actually pull threads from it, and my breasts feel much fuller than usual. The veins on my areolas are also much more prominent, and my back and chest are covered in pimples! Gross, especially with this weather and everyone starting to ask questions... Oh yeah, my belly above the pubic bone feels hard, really HARD!

    Buuut, I'm trying to pay as little attention to it as possible and focus entirely on our move :-), I'm really much more relaxed now and maybe that helps too :-)

    I've already decided not to take a test this month. If I haven't gotten my period by August 5th, then I will; that would be day 41. Seems like a good buffer to me :-)

    Have you felt or noticed anything different?? I'm curious!

    Oh Niki, that's so exciting!! I have a good feeling about you!! It's impressive if you can really wait until Aug 4!
    Everything's fine with me, just some little twinges down in my belly (some days more than others) and I'm occasionally a bit dizzy (but that's probably more the heat?) I really don't dare to hope, but it feels like we were really on track with those ovulation tests, right in the middle of my egg, well you never know.. You enjoy the weather too! And if anything comes up, you'll hear from me right away haha xxx
