Tattoo name child?!

Hi everyone,

I really want to get a tattoo with our son's name. I'm normally not really into tattoos, but I really want to get it on my wrist now.
I'm really torn between just having his name subtly or using the infinity symbol with his initial through it. I know I have to make the decision myself, but I'd love to hear what you all think.
Looking forward to your replies, and thanks in advance.

Love, Amber.

I'm not a fan either, but if I ever got a tattoo, it would definitely be with my baby's name.
So I wouldn't make too much of a fuss and just go for a subtle name .
I'm curious what you'll come up with.

I would have just put the name down without any fuss either!!

I also have my little girl's name in fancy letters on my wrist.

I'm really proud of it, but I'm also really into tattoos.

    Thanks for your replies!
How would you do it on the inside of your wrist so you can read it yourself, or the other way around?

Hi Amber, I’d also love to get a tattoo with our child’s name. But I wouldn’t choose to put it on my wrist. There are too many people with wrist tattoos, and I wouldn’t think it’s very appropriate for work. But that’s each person’s own choice. Personally, I think it looks nice if the name is placed on the side of your forearm near the wrist, running along the length of your arm.

I’d personally have it done so that you can read it yourself. I’d also consider that if you have a second child, you might want to get that name tattooed too. Would you want that name added, or would you prefer to have the other wrist tattooed as well? Since a tattoo is permanent, I’d definitely take that into account.

Try sketching it out on your wrist first; maybe that way you can see how the name looks best. Greetings, RJ

    Hi RJ

That's actually a good point, I can definitely sketch that out, thanks!
I was thinking of the inside of my wrist so that if I ever have to change jobs in the future, a watch could cover it up.
What you said about doing it lengthwise also sounds really nice!! It's definitely the plan that if we have another little one, it'll be on that tattoo and not on my other arm. Have you figured out what you want and where yet?
I'll go ahead and sketch it out hihi

I think it's a nice idea. I've also been thinking about doing something sweet. My husband isn't someone who just gets a tattoo out of the blue, but he's been talking about getting one lately. I think I'll wait a bit until the second one is born. And that one's due in November. I think I'll just get one tattoo. A friend of mine has a similar tattoo with a name on the inside of her wrist.

    Hi Sonjo,

Yes, I'd also wait a bit for your second little one :-)

Have you got a tattoo yourself?

Mine has already been done; it's the initial of my son's name, the S, and in the S there's a little heart. If another little one comes along in the future, I'd like to add their initial too.

    Love

Yeah, I think I'll do them at the same time. No, I don't have any tattoos yet. I've wanted one on my lower back for years, but haven't done it yet.
But a tattoo with my kids' names feels really special to me.
That's nice, yeah, you put the initial with a little heart. Something like that sounds lovely to me too. I'm going to think really carefully about what I want.

I think I'm going to do it too.
    I already have 4 tattoos.

2 on my shoulder blades, 1 on my upper arm,
and 1 on my right wrist.

I'm going to do this too. My son has quite a long name (Aleksandar), and I'd really like to have his name tattooed on my wrist. But I read here that you get it along the length of your arm, so you can't hide it with a watch anymore.
But it's nice to read that so many people want a tattoo with their child's name!

    Hi ladies!

It's all so exciting! I also love reading that there are so many who want to get their child's name tattooed.

I’d also really like a tattoo of my son. I don’t know if I should just get his name or a drawing.

I’m not really the type to get a tattoo either.
My husband doesn’t like the idea of me getting one either.
But I do think having your baby’s name tattooed is something special.
Still, not on my wrist—I can’t have a tattoo there because of my job anyway.
