Name Merle

We're considering the name Merle, think it's cool, classic, and original but not too much ;-)
Now my husband is starting to have doubts. What do you all think of the name Merle?

    I think it's a lovely name. What you're saying, it's unique, but not ridiculously so. I quite like that.

    I think it's a beautiful name. Our daughter Merlin was born yesterday. Seems like a bit of a match!
