pregnant??

If you see two lines or a line and a plus sign, then you're pregnant. You might want to read the instructions again. Unplanned but welcome? Congratulations in advance......

It was planned, but we weren't completely sure if we were going to go through with it. But it's more than welcome if it's like this. The test showed a very clear line on the control window and a slightly lighter pink on the test window. I keep wondering what to make of it, so I think I'll call the doctor tomorrow (just to be safe).

But thanks for your message, it does me good.

They always say a faint line is still a line. It was very light for me too, and now I'm 13 weeks pregnant. :-) Otherwise, you can always do a digital Clear Blue test. It literally says pregnant or not pregnant and how long. I used those for my first and second pregnancies too. For the first three, I used regular ones, and then Clear Blue because we couldn't believe it:-)

This was my first test, I was just going to do another test. Your HCG doubles every day.
    I'm almost 15 weeks now

I did the Kruidvat test yesterday and this morning, and it clearly showed a faint line, just like on that test. I called the doctor today, and she said the faint line should be darker to confirm pregnancy (I brought the test to show her) and I'm already 2 weeks late. She also asked if I had any symptoms, but I don't have any except for a bloated feeling.. I have to come back next week and bring a urine sample.. This is going to be an uncertain week for me with a lot of worrying.

Can I ask when you took the test that was positive?

On the day your period was supposed to start, but that doesn't mean anything at all! You need to get your blood tested; that will give the answer. If you still haven't had your period after 2 weeks, I'd ask for an internal ultrasound. I don't want to scare you or talk you into anything, but an ectopic pregnancy is also something that fits with low hCG levels. I was 30 days late, slightly positive, and in the end it was a miscarriage. Again, I don't want to scare you, but don't let them dismiss you just because you feel fine!

A line is a line. Doesn't matter how light or dark it is. My first test from Kruidvat was also very light, and I'm 13 weeks pregnant now. With some women, the tests don't always get darker. And if you want even more certainty, you can also do a Clearblue digital test. I did that too. It says in letters whether you're pregnant or not.

Thanks, ladies, for the info! I did a Clearblue test, and it clearly says pregnant 2-3 weeks, so I’d be about 4-5 weeks now. I’m super happy but also a bit unsure—I don’t feel anything yet. No nausea, no throwing up, nothing. But I guess it’ll come eventually. I’ve already started taking folic acid, and on Wednesday I finally have my appointment with the doctor! Keep my fingers crossed..

    Congratulations!!!
Uncertainty is part of the journey, and this feeling can change up to 10 times in the coming months, so don't let that make you feel insecure either!
My nausea started at 6 weeks and went away at 13 weeks, but some people skip it completely.
    Enjoy it and good luck!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. Every woman experiences that uncertainty. With my daughter, I didn’t have any issues at all, so I wasn’t nauseous either. But with this pregnancy, I was nauseous in the first few weeks. So every pregnancy is different.

    I’d say enjoy it.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! It's totally normal to feel unsure. It'll come in waves. But enjoy it before you know it, the little hummeltje is already here!

Yay! Congratulations! Amazing! You don't need to feel bad, be happy if you feel good. I was extremely nauseous even before the test—that's really no fun! Trust your body!
