    Nice name, but I always wonder if it's a good name to use when applying for jobs later on. It sounds a bit flimsy to me Still, it's pretty

    So beautiful!
  3. MarieLouise #4

    I think it's a nice name too!

    terrible, I don't like it at all but I also don't like names that sound airy or too fantasy-like from a fairy tale sorry I'm afraid of j

    Are you worried that you won't be taken seriously as an adult with that name?
  6. tjoektjoek78 #7

    Nice! Also original!
    And if you can be taken seriously with the name "Bagwan," you can definitely be taken seriously with the name Skye! (my opinion)

    I agree with Felicia. I don't think names that mean "sky" or something like "butterfly" are great either. "Sky" is just the sky, not a name for me. You'd always think of the sky, which feels a bit weird, sorry. Definitely not a name for a girl. It sounds completely not like a name. Sorry, just my opinion.

    and what tjoeke sjoek wrote about it: a name can be original, but it has to make sense. Tree or fire, wind is also original, or cloud etc., but they don't sound like normal names. I also like original, but not something unusual or nothing more related to a name, and that's what I think about Sky, especially for a girl.

    No, I don't think much of it either, but I think of "sky is the limit" and Sky Radio, so no, I think it's sad for a girl to be called that. I'd be very upset with my parents if they had named me that. Sorry to the women who are called that. Love, Lineta

    I don't find it so weird, but for a young girl, I really don't think Sky is very girly. Greetings, Brigite

    I think it's more of a name for a young boy, though. No, if you want something original for a girl, I'd rather go with Sterre.

    Come on, seriously, sorry, but indeed, nothing for a girl. The name Sky sounds too harsh in my opinion, and it's never clear whether it's a boy or a girl. I think it's more for a boy; I see that too when I hear this name. Greetings, Lizette

    I think it's a unique name. Sky means sky (air = lucht) and well, one goes for unique and the other for safe names because Sterre is also pretty unique; but since we've heard that name more often, it seems okay?

    I personally don’t think the name Skye is beautiful for a girl. But if you both like the name, then it’s fine. Everyone has different tastes; otherwise, all kids would have the same name, haha. You should do what feels right for you and what you find beautiful. Good luck.
  15. Liesseling #16

    I like Skye, but I’d never choose it myself.
  16. Anonymous Guest #17

    Really nice name, but not something I'd choose myself.
  17. Evelien Guest #18

    Skye doesn't mean sky, but is a Scottish island.
    Sky=sky
    Skye= Scottish island.
    I don't find Skye at all airy-fairy, but rather tough.
    There are also a lot of girls who are called Fenna or something similar. I personally associate that with pasta in some way. Everyone has their own associations.
    If you think it's a nice name, I say: go for it!

    I think it's a super cute name, it's on my list too. I like that it's a bit unique. And it's not like no one else is named that.

    I think it's a really beautiful name! Tough, but also sweet.
