Danko or Nolan?

Oh my gosh, help! I'm 37 weeks and a half pregnant and we still don't have a name. Never thought it would be this hard. Girl names weren't a problem at all; we were quick to decide on those, but I'm really struggling with boy names. ...

So far, we have two names: one that my partner really likes, Danko, and one that I really like, Nolan.

The baby will be half-Dutch; the father is from a Slavic country (where we also live), but he also has Croatian blood in his veins. I'm a typical tall, blonde, blue-eyed girl from the Netherlands.

We're looking for a tough, short name that is easy to pronounce in different languages.

What do you think of our two names, and does anyone have other nice (international) suggestions?

I think Nolan is quite nice and unique.

    short but still beautiful.

We ourselves like short names and have both a boy and a girl name with 4 letters

    Hi..

Those names are tricky. Luckily, we've also figured it out and it's going to be a short name with 4 letters.

I think Nolan is much nicer and would go for that one. Personally, the name Danko makes me think of a dog..

Love and good luck with choosing!

I think Nolan is a nice name, and I also find it a tough name for a boy!

And I've never heard it before.

Good luck with choosing the name!

Thanks ladies, last night my partner was suddenly really positive about Nolan, so it's very likely that we'll go with that name. It's true that you don't hear it that often, but what I really like is that it's easy to pronounce in almost all languages, not difficult to spell, and fairly culturally neutral, since the baby is a nice mix of many cultures.
