Hi! My husband and I are expecting a girl at the end of May, but we just can't decide between two names: Maya or Alyssa. What do you think? Thanks!

I think Maya is beautiful and unique! I also think Maaike is beautiful. -

Alyssa, Maya might soon become "Maya the bee" at school. On the other hand... kids will come up with something for every name. -

But I’d also go with Alyssa..
Like Iza said, Maya might quickly be associated with Maya the bee...
Choosing names is such a tough decision, after all it’s for the rest of their lives...

I’d personally go for Alyssa; I think it sounds nicer than Maya. With Maya, I always think of the Mayan tribe. Good luck choosing the right name!
