When is the plaster cast and belly painting?

Dear ladies,

What a lovely week to make a plaster cast of your beautiful bump or maybe do a belly painting?
Has anyone got experience? I don't want to be too early but also not too late.

I hope for some experience.

Love,
Sanne

No experience, but I’d do it around 34/35 weeks. You get nice leave and time before, and your belly is already so big that it looks great in the cast.
    Nice!

Made a plaster cast at 35 weeks, then they say your belly doesn't grow so huge anymore. ;-)

    Now I'm mosaic-ing it, it's so much fun ;-)

    Good luck.!

That sounds amazing too, him mosaics.
I'm really curious about the result.

I got my belly cast done at 36 weeks. Really ideal time... He's also still sitting quite high. And when it's done, you're shocked at how big your bump looks, like you've got a horn haha, that was definitely the case for me... Enjoy it!

It's also really fun to do, but it's quite a bit of work,
but yeah, you've got to be willing to put in the effort.
And it's a good and fun distraction ;-)
Good luck with whatever you're going to do, whether it's plastering or painting.

    Wow, that's really beautifully done!!!
My print is just sitting here, I still need to sand it down and touch it up...but I can't find the time for it. Maybe I should start working on it so it can be hung up...

    Wow! He's so beautiful.
That's a really nice idea. I was thinking of mosaic-ing him with gray tiles and sand-colored ones, those are the colors of the baby's room.
  8. Réwana #9

Yes, it's getting more and more beautiful :-)
I spend about an hour a day crafting on it,
and then I can give it a nice spot.

I think I'll turn it into a lamp.?
But I still need to figure out how to do that.? :-)

I'll post a photo as soon as it's finished,
and ladies, really do it & finish it ;-) it's so mooooo beautiful...
Definitely as a keepsake of your pregnancy.!

Well, that also looks very nice to me, it would fit the baby room perfectly ;-)
I'm curious, make sure to post a little photo, so we can take a look at your artwork ;-) Good luck.

By the way, I don't use grout, but I apply the tile adhesive a bit thicker, and then they're grouted right away :-)
And it's a grey adhesive, white didn't seem to fit.

    Hi Réwana,
I'm also thinking about my to-do list
By the end of next month and early June, they'll be outside hardening...
Then my husband will be outside and I won't be able to do much, so I think I'll tackle it then too..
I'm also considering doing a mosaic, but in shiny black and white since those are the colors of our interior, so I can place it somewhere or hang it... I have a large wall that feels too bare to my liking.. There's currently a canvas print of NY city hanging there, but I don't really like it Maybe I'll hang my baby bump with pictures of our girl around...

You've got some brainstorming to do... hihi

I'm curious to see the results here!!

Lots of love and happy crafting!!

Wow, that's so beautiful, Seg!!! Now I'm jealous Where did you find the mosaic pieces? And how did you put the hearts on them?
  16. Réwana #17

    @fieke1709

Thanks, I'm really proud of it too;-)

    1. You can buy mirrors ready-made in pots.
(heutink-creatief.nl, cost around €10 per pot)

    2. A heart drawn by hand and mosaic-ed,
    then filled with decorative gravel.

    @mommy of........

    Thanks

I just got the cheapest bucket of tile adhesive from Praxis, in light grey color.

    Good luck
